Twice now, i lost a game solely, SOLELY due to top lane difference. Wow surprising a fed as fuck jax or nasus is gonna steamroll carry when fed, Fuck cry baby top laners who say their lanes have no impact and the game is out of their control because its just not true, most bruisers can shut down adcs far easier than an assassin can with enough durability to survive for more.

Really, cuz the only "bruisers" that can shut down adcs are the ones that can somehow manage to get into the backline- Oh wait, its just Fighters abusing steraks. Aatrox is the only "bruiser" champ I can see that can shut down an adc, but at the same time hes easy to kite from afar. Also, basing that statement because of two games is a terrible way to make a point. Checking these two games... Game 1: 31 minutes with a Nasus on the enemy team. No brainer there (aka he was being left alone to stack) Game 2: Ken fucked up and fed Jax, but SoS makes it impossible to shut him down (aka item problem)

There isn't a single Top Laner who is ranked in the Top 15. It is all Jungle, ADC, and Mid Lane. No Supports or Top Laners. I say that only for argument's sake. Now if you play Top Lane, you will actually feel and understand why people complain about Top Lanes lack of agency on the game.
Yes, a player who is capable of DOMINATING Top Lane will have a TON of agency in the game. It takes a special kind of player to truly DOMINATE lane in almost every game. For the majority of players, we can't dominate that hard every game. So we are more reliant on our team instead of playing Jax and 1v57. For players working within their limits, Top Lane is the most useless role in the game when you first pick.
Like first picking Singed into Teemo, Vayne, Garen, Mundo, Teemo, Neeko (List goes on) Like first picking a Tank then you go against Darius, Nasus, Illoai, Vayne, Neeko, (List goes on)
In examples like these with the player playing in the division they belong in, they will be pushed under tower all game and will not be able to help the team until the team helps them. They literally can't do anything unless they sacrifice a turret and about 500+ gold worth of CS/EXP. Top Laners don't have any options in hard counter matchups. At least mid can roam through several different paths and pressure the enemy jungle as well as having the ability to impact two different lanes. At least ADC has a Support. At least the Jungler has opportunities to take uncontested farm with no risk. Top Laners can only roam down. If Top Laners are countered, they can't roam AT ALL. Unless the enemy Top Laner recalled. You can't risk roaming vs your counter AND a enemy jungler at the same time.

Btw, to all the junglers, if you want to win just gank top pre-6 it's too fucking easy. if you don't do so and you're top laner flames you then accept your L on the chin.

Illabethe2 votesI beg to differ on bot scaling back into relevance. Most adcs; if they don't get a substantial early lead, their damage directly affects future CS capture and opportunities to farm. They pretty much need their first item and a half to secure 90% CS rate when they are at a wave. After a turret is lost, adc no longer has the time to wait to last hit every minion. They have to active clear, or get ganked out in the open.
Tops generally still have tools to clear even after they lose lane, without becoming a gank target.

I went red>lvl2 gank top and burned darius' flash and ghost, I then do krugs>lvl2 gank top again this time i get a first blood and level 3 then i do krugs>mid and burn flash then i do blue>gromp>back then went to top lane and got malphite a kill, then i went bot lane to get a mountain drake, fairly important objective right? FUCKING WRONG! Malphite couldn't handle being alone, 2 levels up 1 kill and 1 assist he decided he was too good to die and decided to die twice while i was botside, then I start camping bot and they carry. fuck your top lane i was up 3 cs from wukong and malphite was down 120 BY THE WAY

giannishannibal3 votesWell for me ALL LANES HAVE EQUAL IMPACT. I mean go ahead just have 4 of the team go in lane 0/0/0 and average cs and the fifth just int/feed. You will probably lose the game cause the one with the extra gold will ahve more items and will kill more later.
They are champions that even behind they have their thing eg a Zyra even if she can land a good root and R she can turn the fight around even when behind. Or jax or yasuo -which even if they feed as long the game last long to get the gold for their core build they will steamroll you ( i have plenty jax games myself as an example) but before that they have a stun and windwall that can turn a fight and help the team.
Now champions like zed or any adc that their thing is damage then yes if they fall behind they will deal no damage and they wont help kill the enemy carry or in teamfightsat all cause they will be always behind.
TLDR All lanes have equal impact, they are only champions that they are forgiving and can contribute with eg their cc on enemy carry/threat or be a meatshield

Agreed 100%, OP. All lanes have plenty of impact. Some have more, some have a bit less, but all have decent impact. Learn to play your fucking champion and your fucking lane, and stop complaining that top has no impact because you never did a fucking thing with the lead you had. If my silver ass can have an impact early on as Nasus and be roaming by the time I have trinity, you can mange to do something as a Darius or Pantheon.

No shit you lost, not to mention a Kaisa without QSS against a nasus. Did you make any effort once going top lane? Top lane is only impactful when they dont get ganked.. ever.. which rarely happens. And by the looks of Jax and Nasus getting free farm all game, the odds of you losing are high because theyre scale champions. Literally any scale champion will have impact in the game when they have 3+ items, it doesnt matter what champion you play. Now if the top laner was something like a Teemo, Jayce, Gnar, Rumble, Kled, Galio, Renekton, Malphite, and they ended up "sololey" carrying, then id say you have a point. But the fact you bring up 2 champions that are scale champions who got fed because nobody decided to deal with them nor build a QSS is on your team for having bronze decision making.
we havent met1 votesWhen we went top lane we got double killed. My contention was that people on boards likes to equate top lane as a useless role. But it isnt. Renekton can do the same thing. I've brought up that MULTIPLE bruisers and duelists can get to the backline and do an assassins job just as well and still stick around to fight, but once again as usual on boards you dont look at the full post, you just pick and choose what you want to disagree with

What's even more hilarious is when they tell us their role is exceptionally bad and unpopular (not true) when in reality the champions that Riot puts up there are symbolic of much of the issues in this meta. Good luck to the ADC that encounters a Riven without their entire team. They're gone.
Those kinds of champions top lane are defining the meta. Bot lane is seeing more mage supports not because the laning phase is any easier. The most banned champions bot lane are Pyke and Yuumi. It's because you can't save your ADC in this meta against most top laners because they have insane damage and mobility. You can only punish them with more damage. Even ADC picks are getting crowded out for Ezreal and Kaisa to deal with the hyper mobility of top laners.
Top lane is the most self-absorbed role, and that's coming from a support main who has had to deal with ADCs for 4 seasons now. I used to be a top lane main before that though, so I think I know why. It's because they're isolated for most game and don't have to group until late game. They rarely think about the rest of the map.
Buckeye20021 votesThe problem with top lane is it is very very snowball.....and the jg can make a huge difference. I played top, but I prefer mid now....because top you can do well, but it feels awful when you mid and bot feed....there is nothing you can do.....from mid I atleast have options to help and can roam better and kill their fed adc if I'm on an assassin...top you cant unless you have tp and your support actually wards a bot lane bush.....good luck on that.
