Lobby Dodge Wait Timers

All I can ask is, why? Do Riot employees actually play the game? The frequency with which people instantly lock, verbally abuse or straight up come in saying "I'm feeding pick lane here, gg" is absolutely ridiculous, and so I find myself skipping pretty frequently. Urgot jungle, Annie adc, AND AP Zed with Meditate? Oh, please. I may as well play the game and suffer, with these constant 15 minute wait times. These need to be lowered or straight up removed. And yeah, I realize that that would encourage people to just dodge if they don't get the role they want, but because of this, they're more likely to troll and ruin a game than just skip until they get what they want. It's miserable.

Wait timers make sure that normal players can actually get a game, instead of sitting through all of champ select only to have someone dodge last minute because they didn't get the role they wanted, or their favorite was banned. Dodging happens anyway, but much less than it would. How do I know this? Because ARAM game mode (before it was official) took ages to find a set of 5, and people would dodge all the time if they hated the roll. When they added in the dodge clock, it was easier, and when they raised ARAM dodge penalties well above normal (15 minutes for first dodge), it's now actually possible to reliably get games. I'd say only about 1 in 6 or so games is dodged during champ select.

Dodge penalties deter people from leaving and making 9 other people wait.

You have to have dodge penalties. Otherwise, people would just constantly dodge lobbies after they lolking'd their team mates win/loss/mmr and didnt like what they saw. Or if they want ADC but someone picked it before them, they could just dodge and force the 9 other people in the lobby to go through the whole thing over and over and over again.

Yes, dodge penalties stop people from dodging over little things, but it also punishes people for trying to get out of a shitty situation. What, you want to play League and our matchmaking system is garbage? Lol, you can wait 15 minutes just to get paired with more toxic players. Don't like that? Ok, 30 minute wait. League of Legends is a c00l game.
