Why does sightstone only give health?

Why dont we have more variants for supports? What if the ruby sightstone had alternate effects

Ruby Sightstone - Deviant (grants 10? percent cooldown reduction) Ruby Sightstone - Purifier (your shielded and healed allies gain movement speed) Ruby Sightstone - Rockstar (Grants health based on the amount of armor you have) [replaces the sightstone we have now] Ruby Sightstone - Magician (grants mana regen based on missing mana) Ruby Sightstone - Catalyst (stunning or slowing enemies gives a speed boost) Ruby sightstone - Amplifier (place up to 4 wards at a time) Ruby Sightstone - Knight [or paladin] (dying heals nearby allies) Ruby Sightstone - Swift hands (your fourth ward is a vision ward)

That would be a Lee Sin buff. If they could make it somehow that only supports could upgrade it, that would be cool.

Yes its been mentioned in other threads that having one of the support tier items fully upgraded would be a requirement to purchase an enhanced ruby sightstone

Which is just as bad since Frost Queen's claim is kind of in a poor spot (terrible stats, not as interesting active) and I almost never see it on supports that take Spellthief/frostfang early game.

There isn't as many supports that can take frost queens since it's mainly an ap and cooldown item, nami, lulu, sona for example are much more suitable for it but other champs based on hard cc or being Tanky or whatnot are taking coin or heart of the mountain

Like I said, seldomly finished on the supports that'd want to build/benefit from it.

I often see it upped to Frostfang, then late game sell off for the item slot. It's only 1400~ g after Frostfang and it only gets 10 CDR, 40 ap, slight better gold gen (passive no longer disables), and a meh active. Using the gold generated from it and selling frostfang, there's lots of other more interesting support items to buy (Ardent Censor, Tank items, Morellonomicon, and others.)

thats true, but a lot of people still use it because the active isnt meh its situational. Its meant to stop ganks, ties in with exhaust

I'm all for more options for sightstone, but I don't think it should start at tier 2, but rather tier 1 (regular Sightstone) so there are more options for supports (such as a armor/res option, ap option, cdr, mana, etc options. Lee Sin was mentioned, simply don't have an AD SS option because AD supports don't need any itemization help nor does Lee (and afaik there really isn't an easy way to prevent him from buying SS either. Making it limited via summoner spells cripples support spell choices, not to mention Lee could probably spare one of his to bypass it anyways.)

I'd keep away from making Ruby Sightstone giving more power to vision because then it would be mandatory to rush it, delaying what the support actually wants to buy (and also promote the Ward bot support mentality that the ward limit/trinket system introduction wanted to kill in the first place). They intentionally made it that way: A late game upgrade for when you've finished the rest of your build/need more health.

(I'm also ok with buffing trinkets as well.)

** 1- SightStones** item 2049 Is rarely worth upgrading into item 2045 So i though of different upgrade choices like item 1039 's to make it more interesting and add variety.

**Violet **item 2049: 200 HP 5% CDR --- ---> Voiditem 2049: 300 HP 10% CDR

**Crimson **item 2049: 300 HP ------> Rubyitem 2049: 450 HP

**Cerulean **item 2049: 200 HP 25% mana regen ------> Skyitem 2049: 250 HP 200 mana 25% mana regen

**Jade **item 2049: 150 HP 10 AP ------> Forestitem 2049: 200 HP 50 AP

2- New Support Item:

  • Mysterious Trinket: 365 G

Generates 1 Gold every 10 seconds. Generates 1 Gold every time you cast a spell. (Killing a minion disables this for 10 secs) Generates 1 gold every time a nearby ally kills a minion. 25 HP 25% Mana regen

  • Orb of seasons: Mysterious Trinket + 500 G

Generates 1 Gold every 10 seconds. Generates 2 Gold every time you cast a spell. (Killing a minion disables this for 10 secs) Generates 2 gold every time a nearby ally kills a minion. 10 AP 50 HP 25% Mana regen

  • Mirror of Spirits: Orb of seasons + Ruby Crystal + Amplifying Tome + 500 G
