Have marksmen ever been in a bad enough place to not be mandatory?

no, marksmen have never been anything but overpowered since ive been here in season 2.
they have always been so strong they have been mandatory in every game for years.
One thing funny was thinking bout was not too long ago prob just this last season when you could prob find 8 adc's in one game. There have been quinn's and graves tops and seen a lucian or two top, and corkies and varus mid during this timeframe, with kindreds and graves jungle maybe even a quinn jungle, and think the mf support was after this but possible that there might been 7 or even 8 adc's in a game this past season. :)
Has there ever been a pro game with no tanky frontline in it? Has there ever been a pro game with no mages in it? Has there ever been a pro game where the team didn't realize that a balance of front line, AD, and AP damage is the best way to play the game and give you the highest chance of winning?
I remember watching one where the bot lane on one pro team tried to sneak in a kill lane bot. I thought it was jarvin and annie. Where you make the team assume the annie was either support if it was the timeframe where she was common support or perhaps mid if it was back when she was mid and think the jarvin was top or jungle. But they intended for it to be there bot lane and they just messed it up early and got behind. I can't remember what team it was. When I did a google search on pro kill lane bot annie jarvin i just couldn't get a good result. I did get all kinds of results saying that jarvin and leona is a good and classic bot kill lane. The timeframe when this was happening was earlier in the lol history. I dunno if it has been done much lately.
Other than that it is being done season 7 now with ziggs ap bot instead of adc, its supposedly very popular. and the top 3 adc's are more caster adc's anyway ashe, varus, jhin but when 1 is picked and 2 are banned I seen one go with the ziggs just the other day. Announcers been saying to look for it and that its very popular this year.
Also whatever season morde was rekitted and dubbed a melee adc. he is a real good example of a non adc being played in that role commonly in pro games whatever season that was and seemed to be played very often. they'd go grab dragon and bring it to lane use it to push the turret.
