I don't have any basis or evidence for my claims but I refuse to take responsibility for my argument, its up to YOU to prove me wrong.

Take E lvl 1 and pretend ur rumble, except with a ranged auto attack.

Ur q is good waveclear.

W is standard escape I guess, can use it like a quinn E

Every couple minutes valor appears in base and carries you to bot for a gank. So at that point ur pretty much quinn

Klepto and futures market helps you get ur expensive tri force faster.

Like all ranged champions top, you get easy harass on bruisers and tanks and stuff, and you also get a nice inbox full of death threats from top lane mains, so that must mean ur doing something right :D

lvl 6 your R functions as more ranged poke that top lane mains just LOVE <3 <3

Until someone can prove me wrong I'm going to have to stick with my position that corki has been genetically engineered to be the PERFECT top laner.

Then literally any meta top laner jumps on you and you die because Corki has the durability of a paper bag and no hard CC or defensive steroids of any kind.

I got mastery 7 with Corki spamming him top lane, playing Klepto alot near the end of that journey. It's good early game against immobile melees like Darius and Garen. You can build early sheen and go right into stormrazor/RFC, building either IBG or Triforce eventually depending on what you need.

There are a few downsides though.

  1. you rely on TP to return to top if you want to use the package to gank botlane.
  2. To trade, you rely on W to disengage, which is super mana intensive
  3. The poke can feel pretty inconsequential, it's not like Vayne where you have max HP true damage.
  4. many top laners can just jump on you and kill you, using flash if they need ... the aformentioned immobile melees like garen and darius, not to mention the mobile guys like renekton, jax, riven, yasuo, etc ...

all in all i would say that corki is strongest either midlane (because of roaming potential) or botlane combined with an aggressive support (because of his caster ADC burst) ... his lane bully potential isn't enough to fill the role of teemo or quinn unfortunately, as others have said
