His damage is pretty impressive late game, but even then it's mostly W+Q run away, 3 seconds later, W+Q run away.

TF is always good. He's one of the best mid laners, and has been for many, many seasons.

He's basically a hyper carry. His damage is meh most of the game but he peaks really hard late game with full build. And good TFs are nearly unkillable with proper use of stun/slow cards and his ult. In my opinion he's a higher skill cap champion than he looks but he's got incredible play making potential along with really good burst.

I've played a LOT of TF this and last season and my synopsis is that he's always going to be a good pick for competitive. once you get like 2 items he starts doing pretty crazy damage and his passive pretty much assures you a win in any farm lane. Roaming top or bot to snowball yourself or a carry is always a pretty dangerous ability to have and TF excels at it. the only issue with TF is that his laning phase is absolute garbage. he can only really beat people like who have an equally as terrible laning phase as he does, that is to say without outplaying your opponent super hard. he is also extremely good if you have a jungler who will gank for you. a Flash gold card Q followed up with say a lee sin kick is pretty fucking devastating to any mid. heres my build for him i get boots first for being able to dodge skill shots and roam better. i also bring on him but or works well on him too.
