rammus support isn't very good he's all melee range lol meanwhile minions block his powerball

I played 2 games from the past week against rammus both of them had 1000 armor and it was not good scene. His kit is not good for support but his scaling armor is a problem (1000 armor) My adc dealt 0 damage and he can get really close to my adc and just stun them forever. 1000 armor make him an insane damage soaker which is insane. No champion in league can make 1000 armor if you think of it and that's not normal if you ask me

Last whisper can't do anything against 1000 armor dude that is just nuts. That just kill the game code

The last whisper upgrades are the most effective against these situations. It ignores about 300 armour.

What items does rammus have thats getting him to 1k armour, and how did he get gold for those items as a support?

item 2303 item 3110 item 3190 item 3047 item 3075 - His score was 3/3/26 and he did have the aftershock rune + plus the rune that gives you armor on 10 min. I just tried it on practice mode and the armor that it gives is 788 it is very close to 1K but don't judge me now. The problem is that no other champion can get to 788 and its crazy. So full build late game rammus is difficult to kill by AD champs while his w is active? This is not a surprise. Malphite can also reach those levels of armour, and imo is a better support (and neither of them are great).

What is it about specifically support rammus compared to jungle or even top lane rammus that is a problem? It seems to me he'll reach full build much later, and in this meta probably not at all since theres a strong chance that support rammus is going to lose laning phase against more conventional supports and then snowballing is a thing.

a SUPPORT rammus that is somehow getting enough gold to reach 1k armor... there are way bigger issues in those games than a melee champion that puts himself into such risk actually getting high amounts of armor with the limited amount of income that they have
