Anyone miss the 35-minute games?

Nah, I miss the 50-minute games
Did someone say Popcorn?
Nah, I miss the 50-minute games
i just had one of those. it was dead even for 50 minutes, because neither team could gain a decisive advantage or teamfight where one side clearly won to the point they could end. in the end, we won. but such a rare gem of a game.
72 ad from gathering storm and 600 health from overgrowth, and i didnt even build that much hp.
i wouldnt want every game go for that long, but 30 between to 35 minutes on average is not too much to ask.
I miss reaching the point where each team feels evenly matched, where teamfights leave the pushing power of both teams gutted, and where it felt like everyone was giving it their all.
In those games it felt like one person making an amazing play, or one person making a mistake, could end the game, but that we also had enough tools to prevent it from happening. The early snowballs were over and everyone was on equal footing at that point, and it was finally coming down to a match between the players behind their champions, rather than just the champions themselves.

Said very well thank you.

^ This.
You have absolutely no idea. I miss the days when the game didn't end before it started, and emphasised tactical play of the map as opposed to kills and tower rush simulator.
I miss the days of the epic staredowns of teams, sizing each other up like a cowboy movie, and fights felt like an active experience as opposed to a contest of who made the first move correctly or not, resulting in instant destruction.
I miss the feeling of said teamfight ending, the remaining member sof the team hanging on for dear life and doing what they could to push forward to the objective while they still could, bringing out what advantage and lead they could muster.
I miss when this game was engaging.

I miss being able to outplay point and click assassins.
Hell, I even miss the 45+ minute games!
I miss games where champions didn't snowball at level 2 because they could dive a tower, take 2-3 tower shots, drop 2 skills and an auto to get a kill, then heal half their HP and then do it in every exchange until the other team quit.
I miss when games werent ''snowball or lose''. But sadly, it has always been this way since Season 6.
I miss when games over 25 minutes were interesting. I miss sub 20 kill games at 30 minutes (at least at higher elos) where every small advantage was painstakingly fought for. I miss when at least 8/10 people would pick champions they play or at least were trying to pick up and put games into. It's like playing normal blind now, nobody builds compositions, nobody thinks of the impact of their pick, and everyone just bashes their head at each other until someone kills the nexus. I just don't even feel mentally stimulated playing this game anymore.
The moment i finish stacking
the game is already decided

I do. i miss being able to play a late game scaling champion know the reward will be worth the grind. but no, riot wants games over in 20 minutes. and to do this they nerfed late game champs early, and late. Seriously? why is lucian doing the same at 35 minutes as jinx does, when he shits on her for the first 15?

Because Lucian takes skill and Jinx doesn't.
Because Lucian takes skill and Jinx doesn't.
they both take skill. lucian is mobile and relies on a combo, he requires mechanical skill jinx is immobile and is heavily punished for her mistakes, she requires map awareness and positioning skill.
what you just said is the same as saying annie takes more skill than lux because she has shorter range -.-
I miss elder dragon
LOL I forgot about elder drag... Haven't seen it once in 3 months.
Considering I have 35 minute games pretty often, I dont really have a reason to miss them.
I miss 35+ games
I miss Dominion
Not really, considering my games tend to average ~30 minutes.
Blame your noob teammates, every 30+ minute game is because the rest of the team are heavy.
I do!
Anyone miss not getting 1 shot every single game. Ya me too.
i still have plenty of them :)
https://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/game-durations Pretty much every game is averaged at 30 minutes.... so im not sure.. what you mean?

All im trying to say is that there is no late games anymore :( Games are quickly
It's more like 30 minute average = 25-35 minute games.
Where at 35 minute average would mean 25-45 minute games.
Anyone?[sg-soraka]
Circlejerking that games are too short without any proof. Average games are 30-40mins long.
Only true below gold
So only 90% of games then?

I can post fake numbers as well xD seriously is google really that hard?
Don't we all. Games back then were longer, had more active experience and opportunities to outplay the other team while the other team needed to know how to react to those kind of plays. The best part was that those games are well fought.
Nowadays, everything is a one-shot fest.
I don't.
When ever a match starts to approach 30-35 minutes it feels like a drag. 40 minutes in and I'm considering surrendering just because I want it to end. 50 minutes in I at least get to afk for a minute while dead to watch a youtube video, because god knows I'm not enjoying League at that point.
Coming from a person who has played for 6 years now.
You might want to look into PUBG, you don't need an attention span for that game.
35-40 minutes should be considered average, not "long" games.
50 minutes in I at least get to afk for a minute while dead to watch a youtube video
Reason why we can have multiple monitors now.
[sg-ezreal]
no
what....... noooooo...... are you suggesting that.... 3.5 minute games...... aren't long enough? if anything it should be done after champ select and receive win or loss based on picks, without having the useless 15 minutes after it
I only have 35+ minutes games in bronze or silver elo where people are so dumb to do anything... or they just farm kills. But immediatelly in silver 2+ there games end after 5-10 minutes. If some team gets firstblood or multiple kills, then my team says ''gg ff 15, fuck this ff? noobs ff this'' so yeah.
I miss when games were like 50 minutes and you knew what you were fighting for. But nooo, let's make games be decided in the first 10 minutes. That's why mobile and early champs dominate now. Play Leblanc, get few kills > boom you insta win. Everything mobile and early will dominate now... Stupid game.
What can we do when Chinese want lower games? Nothing, it's basically their company now anyway.
we still can get 35 minute games it just the last 25 minutes are a waste of time
As long it's not the damn Ardent Censor meta, I'm fine.
I miss the one hour + games....
Entire game is now first to buy duskblade wins.
8 of my last 10 matches were >30min. So I have no reason to miss 35min matches. I have them already.
40-50 minute games were the best. Time to properly teamfight and farm up. It felt amazing whenyou finally get that last teamfight in and win the game after 50 minutes. And ya it also felt terrible when you lost but honestly it feels worse when you lose early on (15-30 minutes)
