Healthy Way to Change Kalista

Warning: I have only played Kalista a handful of times. She is my least favorite champion to play and one of the most annoying to play against. The following points are my opinions on how to possibly make the champion more healthy.

  • The current iteration of Kalista passive allows her to become one of the most mobile champions in League. Riot has stated that they want certain champions to have "windows" where they can fight and use certain mechanics. Following that logic I think her current passive should be swapped with her W. (Her Oathsworn active stays on her passive though)

**_ New (Old W) Passive:_** "SOUL-MARKED: While Kalista and her Oathsworn are near each other, she gains 10 - 27 (based on level)% bonus attack speed. Additionally, their basic attacks apply Soul-Mark to their targets.

If both apply Soul-Mark within 2 seconds of each other, the target takes bonus magic damage, capped against non-champions, and cannot be Soul-Marked for 10 seconds. Soul-Mark executes minions below 125 health."

  • New (Old Passive) W: For the next (x) seconds Kalista gains Martial Poise.

Reasoning behind these changes: I think that Kalista having full up-time on a very strong ability is what makes her really toxic to play against. If it was gated with a cooldown then it would allow more windows of outplay and also allows the actual ability itself to be stronger. Maybe tie in her Oathsworn into the ability, making it last longer if she's near her Oathsworn? Numbers and timers can all be adjusted but I think this is a solid base for making the champion healthier. What are your thoughts?

Her mobility is fine honestly, the issue is the fact that she is either too good, so they make her more support reliant, or she is completely awful, because she is too support reliant. What they need to do is simply remove her weaknesses when she's away from her support, but also remove the benefits of having a dedicated support that will follow you through thick and thin, kill and death, 3 minute afk and suicide.(the w passive.)

actually the healthiest way to deal with kalista is just to remove her stupid passive. and give her something else. no "this is what makes this champion itself" bs. thats why ryze is probably gonna get reworked again.
