Idea for speeding up the "champion unlocking" process.

Seriously, we need this to be faster.

I have been playing this game almost obsessively for 3 goddamn years, and I still have two champions to go.

So, here's my idea.

When you create your account, you get 3 champions Ashe Garen Annie Every time you level up your summoner, you get 2 champions; one predetermined and another of your choice Blitzcrank and I want to try out this Heimerdinger fellow. Every 10 levels, you get 2 extra "choice" picks.

So, by the end of the account leveling process, you have unlocked 67 champions (in addition to those you purchased with IP).

That's way too generous. I could understand unlocking a couple champs, or maybe a new rune page, every 10 levels.

I actually like the concept though, the idea of being awarded at least one champion per level seems like a great idea. Considering I have been playing for years and still have around 20 champs left, some way to get champs more quickly seems to be a good idea.

slightly confused though. i've mostly played since october and i've gotten most of them already.

How many have you purchased with RP (either through the store or Hextech Crafting)?

none with RP, only 3 through crafting (brand, tryn, fiora).

No reason to use RP for champions when i get them for free (in multiple ways) and i'd rather have some fancy snazzy skins to use.

idea... buy them :P

I own all champions, have been playing for 4 years and now continue to unlock them with IP... so it's not hard.

It's not hard, it just takes too damn long.

You shouldn't have to play the game for 3-4 years just to access the roster.

that is a opinion based on the feel/desire to own all the champs.

You do not need to own all the champs in order to play and there is 0 proof that accelerated champion buying is needed.

But it's a free to play game, thus it should take a long time to get all the champions.

Like I said, buy them, that's what they WANT you to do ;)

You know, it might be simpler to tweak the current system.

When I just started, I recall getting the IP boost by default, and that shut off once you reached level 10. If that's still the case, it would be giving less IP over all, as Riot also cut the XP requirement for leveling in half. So maybe, new player should be able to enjoy a longer default IP boost.

Other than that, they could do more to reduce the prices of existing champions. And to an extent, the new Hex crafting system does offer more to this dynamic as well. (though I personally received more skin than champion shards)
