Boards being shut down feels like a slap in the face.

Yes okay, ill admit it, we aren't ALWAYS constructive. But in the same respect it's really hard not to get frustrated when it FEELS like rioters stopped caring about the playerbase. You think reddit is any better? You have to word titles SO CAREFULLY that if it even IMPRESSIONS that you are not in favor of what riot is doing it will be automatically deleted by a bot.

For a long time I tried to give benefit of the doubt. But riot has turned more money oriented than ever, turning a blind eye to criticism and in the same breath ensuring criticisms won't be as easily accessible. I am not saying boards was perfect. Far from it. But THIS is where rioters should care. THIS is the league of legends website, not reddit. It becomes obvious that it's just "easier" to terminate a website that for the past years have centered around what Riot is doing wrong, but there was good as there was bad.

Story art and sound had its place. Recruitment had its place. Concepts and creations had its place. Even the community tab used to be really popular. Your game is going to start to die. We are already seeing numbers drop in the millions. (Comparatively the playerbase is about 80 million so its not like the game is extinct) All the criticisms being ignored. All the times you turn a blind eye to your players, your customers, it WILL cost you. I don't know when League became so heavily money hungry. The company makes more than what they know what to do with.

The first time I felt like they actually listened to something was just recently, in terms of ranked matchmaking, but even then like, that should have been something fixed so much sooner. Not that I'm bitter or ungrateful, but preseason exists, public beta environment exists. There has to be more effort to want to fix things sooner.

You took Treeline, Dominion, Boards. Any remnant of the old game will be soon gone. The nostalgia is being wiped clean. I am just disappointed.
