If you're an ADC, What would you do in this situation?

Alistar is right infront of you but used his combo 3-4 seconds ago but is in ult.

His whole team is kinda away from him and your team is fighting them.

Do you walk past the alistar to hit his team?

Or do you hit the alistar?

What if the same thing to nautilus?

Do you hit the nautilus in the front even tho your teams fighting his team?

Or do you walk past the naut to get in range to hit the katarina and nasus

Kite the fight, and club the nearest opponent you can safely reach. Your more valuable to your team alive, so don't take unnecessary risks.

You hit whatever is closest to you since you staying alive > getting the right targets.

Since Alistar/Naut/etc is going to pick you off, you will want to stay away from him as far away as possible.

If anything, do your supports a favor by dodging things and getting out of the way. That way, you will not only live, but also the enemy threats will die sooner.

Walking passed him isn't an option, he becomes a threat again the second his CC comes back up. If you can hit someone else without putting yourself into a bad position then go for it, otherwise you need to kite back or you'll just die.

Thats the problem. I was put in a situation where the alistar was in my face but their team was way behind while my team fighting.

My Autos as a fed adc did absolutely nothing.

So do i A) Auto something for 10 seconds that i will not even kill

Or B ) Join my team and help / risk dying

Your team should be identified what your position was there and kited back to allow you in. All you can do is hit him if he's the only target you can reach because the second his CC is up you will get launched into their team and die if you walk passed him. It's a crappy situation that you basically need your team to help with by kiting back to give you a shot.

yeah i see what you're saying. What i did was walk past him because i saw it useless after 4 seconds

What happened was my team was winning the team fight so the enemy team was 10% hp on each person when i got there. My team just finished them off.

Was a lucky solution tho honestly

Considering Naut can probably 100-0 you with only item 3025 item 3068 you have to attack him. Ali with no cds and in ult wont kill you.

If you're an adc, attack the champion blocking your way while trying to kite around them. If your click-moves are on point, you should be inching closer to the fight you want to be fighting while also damaging the tank in your way from a relatively safe distance. If they don't back off, staying in your way (or otherwise you can't do enough damage to make them) continue attacking them until they do, kiting as necessary. You'll be no help to your team ass-deep in cc.

As an adc, you are probably also the number one tank-shredder on your team. Of course you need to prioritize the Katarina, but only if both are within your reach. If you need to walk all the way past the tank to get at the Katarina, you might as well just attack the tank while you try to rejoin your team.

What if the closest person is a rammas? It will take you a long time to kill a rammas or malphite while your team is getting rocked. Thats what im trying to find out. is the time hitting a rammas to kill him worth your team fighting a 4v4 without an adc?

The thing is, even if it's not worth it, it might be your only option. If the Katarina turns towards you while the Rammus/Nautilus/Alistar cc locks you, you're probably going to die instantly, assuming the Rammus/Nautilus/Alistar can't 1v1 you, which they very well might be able to do. Surrendering yourself to the cc is seldom the best option.

If you are absolutely certain they have no cc left, then you might find it worth sliding past them with less time-consuming care, but only to rejoin your team, because once their cooldowns come back up, if you don't have your team between you and them, things can get messy.

An adage from my friend who introduced me to league: "If you can't help, don't bother trying." Sometimes "abandoning" your team is the smartest option. Of course, this is a team game, but fighting the Rammus/Nautilus/Alistar is all you can do. At least you're keeping it a 4v4 instead of a 4v5.

Then again, every game is different. How far behind the Rammus/Nautilus/Alistar the teamfight is happening, how practical it is to take alternate routes, and how much you can impact the fight are all things that will need your judgement to determine the best course of action.

Most of the time I'd kite and shred the tank, unless I know the tank won't do any damage to me and I can just walk past him to fight others instead. In your example alistar is in ult so he's got that extra ad to enforce his autos, making him a threat still.

The only exception to that is preworked Graves; sometimes, as long as I hit all my skill shots plus a static shiv auto, it doesn't matter even if I die right after - I've already done enough damage for my team to clean up.

So regarding Alistar it might be best to just ignore him because his ult as long as he has skills on cd

walk past him/around him, his cd's are too long, if he is a support dont worry about him anymore, if he is mid lane/built damage then kite him BUTTTTTTT it highly depends on what the rest of his team has done and what yours has done/positioning. You dont wanna walk past an alistar with his cd's coming back if an elise is gunning for you or if kata still has ult or someone on your team is low or if an enemy ahri still has ult and charm; just depends on situation really, use any abilities you have on the grouped teamfights (aka the jinx traps and ult, the cait q if you can, the ezreal q/w, etc), Try to only ever aa the alistar (if he's support) and save important cd's for the important enemies, tbh your support should be peeling with you which would make aa'ing the ali more enticing and acceptable

if you are a tank shredder with ton of hp and armor shredding abilities and items attack the tank even if it doesnt seem worth since you are probably the only one who can take that person
