Ok I'm gunna dissect a few comments here and give a little of my two cents.
Starting with the OP.
Yes Malzahar has been less "himself" since the voidling changes last year. This part I agree with and is definitely the core problem with him.
Is he an ULT bot? Yes, sort of at the moment. Malzahar SCALES, and at the moment there isn't much advantage to that as games don't last that long, and chances are someone has already snowballed out of control before he comes online.
Malzahar's kit does have COUNTERPLAY issues. He does have COUNTERS, but that's a different thing entirely. Take it from EVERY MALZ MAIN EVER! His point and click suppress ult has been an issue for YEARS, and needs to change. Would a revert be good for the game in the short term? Yeah, probably. Does this mean he doesn't need a more serious change? No. I'm a strong believer Malz should be reverted, but only until Riot have the time to rework him.
The core of malzahar is a mage that uses DoT's and Pets to deal damage while his CC holds them down. This lends itself naturally to counter those champions that are fast moving and and squishy (like assassins). It is naturally oppressive, which some of us (myself included) loves! But there has to be counterplay, and at the moment there isn't much thanks to his ult, so everything else in his kit has had to suffer. There are solutions, and I'd suggest you consider thinking of some and write a post on that instead of shouting aimlessly at riot.
Here's a thread I made several months ago (https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/WAAgqGQE-suggestion-for-malzahar-rework).
Consider the possibilities beyond "Revert now so I can play it". I'm not saying the rework was perfect, but you can see a TONNE of malz mains AND others giving unput to help create a far more balanced version of Malzahar. There are MANY other options, and I will be releasing an updated suggestion thread later this week that I've been working on. I hope to see some constructive thought from you then :)
@Timethief - Yes he is, but he's being used as a support midlaner like Karma, not the control/damage mage he is meant to be. You'll see him waveclear for ages then walk along, flash + ult someone and his team will kill them, then go back to wave clearing. That's not what he is meant to be...
@Xavanic - As above, he scales. The issue he faces is until he has scaled, he is sadly a waveclear ult bot. This makes his laning phase bad rather then oppressive as it is meant to be. He is meant to counter hypermobile hypercarries like Yasuo, Zed, Irelia etc, but currently cannot.
Final thoughts for those that bothered reading this far. While the OP lacks clarity, content and is basically a rage, he did have one statement that was pretty accurate and was probably the reason people clicked on the thread in the first place: "Malzahar has been left as a total shit show for a year now."
