Request to back a protest against Riot's current behavior policies

If no one backs this on these boards, fine. Im ok with that.

But if you feel that Riot's policies lead to situations where you were wrongfully punished, or you think that the application of their punishments is neither fair nor consistent, I'm starting an official campaign against that portion of the company.

If you're in, pls comment below, i'll get your contact info and we'll compile video evidence for submission.

If you're not in and/or you feel you don't want to participate, by all means, keep moving

Regardless of what you feel, I've started this project today, and will be submitting what I gather in video format over the next month of all instances where Riot FAILS their consumers with their policies.

I also ask for a boycott against all monetary purchases made to Riot games until our grievances with the report system have been heard and addressed

Ty for your cooperation

Edit: I have a stream, a youtube, and a reddit account. All instances of "iffy" bans, anecdotes of undeserved punishments, or critiques of this system are WELCOME. Pls comment so I may get your info to interview you and add your story to the evidence

To put it in perspective for those of you who don't know: Punishments are different on every server with some having little to 0 language regulation and others being overly willing to punish their player base for ANY justifiable reason made available. The majority of these cases if challenged are answered by THIRD PARTY (not Riot employee) support teams HIRED to read scripts and deter further complaint.

Im protesting the lack of standards, honesty, and consistency provided by this company that they arbitrarily abuse their ability to take your money and then deny the product you purchased afterward. My main account isn't banned, but I'm honestly fearful to use it and communicate at all for fear of losing it to an unjustified complaint that an auto system supports

I've watched these boards since they first became active (wasn't big on the forum that came before it) and in my personal experience every time someone has posted about being wrongfully punished, didn't have any toxic behavior in their chat, didn't edit their chat logs, and didn't troll/feed after a behavioral review, Riot has removed the punishment and apologized to the player involved.

Most, if not all, of the people who feel wrongfully punished, but did do any of the things I mentioned, disagree with what Riot views as acceptable behavior. Instead of adjusting their behavior to fit what is expected of them they ignore the warnings Riot gives them and just keep going until they lose their account, and either come back as a more bitter version of themselves or leave the game forever.

Too many people think that the best way to show disagreement with a rule or law is to break it, when what you really should do is attempt to change it. In this case I see very, very few people who actually try to change Riot's mind on what is acceptable behavior. I have no issue with how Riot handles things, because my natural behavior fits in very well with what they expect.

Even though I may not disagree with you I see that you're trying to take constructive action here, instead of destructive action, and so you have my upvote. I won't necessarily partake in your boycott, though I am very cheap and rarely spend money on this game anyway, but I will wish you luck.

I agree and that's why I'm asking for evidence.

Also, there isn't a "universal" standard with chat on the servers. Its hardly logical to call their current policies "fair" in handling harassment if A.) On some servers you can completely chat rage and others you can't, and B.) A "non human entity" is making the majority of the punishments while a third party company handles the "support" questions of said "non human entity".

These boards are only one medium. I've seen both examples you've mentioned, and agree that both legit and illegitimate cases have been posted here. Even with the cases where someone was being a complete asshole in game and by our "NA standards" are "guilty" there are still OTHER places where if you don't want to hear it you use mute because thats the agency you're given for dealing with insults.

I ask we demand set standards and consistency for ALL of league or don't give them money anymore. No game should have the right to kick you out of a worldwide game for a standard that's non-global.

I'm upvoting this just because I don't enjoy the game. I've never been punished for anything, but I'm upvoting it because Riot is "the man" here, and it makes me feel like my voice matters.

(Spoiler alert: My voice does not matter.)

That said, from what I've read, you may well have a point anyway. I've seen a lot of complaints about this sort of thing. Many were clearly unwarranted, but many other seemed rather legitimate.

But a chorus does my friend.

I've flamed a ton, and haven't been punished for it. The problem is that the automated detection is utter trash, and will only detect certain words or slurs. When nothing is done to inters it's pretty easy to see why people get mad. At least in the days of the tribunal you could take the situation into account.

Either way, I doubt this will get anywhere, but good luck. Riot seems pretty set on their ways at this point in time.
