I cannot believe they completely nerfed the shit out of Soraka top. It was so much fun playing as her in the top lane. For anyone still crazy enough to still pick her top lane: What are your thoughts? How different does she feel compared to pre nerf Soraka top? Can you still bully the enemy top laner? Would you still be playing her top in the future? And anything else you would like to add about Soraka top in 10.4?

To me, I still think she is viable top lane and I will still continue to play her top because her core of top lane hasn’t really changed all too much. You will still be able to play her with Flash + Barrier and still ulti your allies from across the map for assists. You can take Gathering Storm instead of Scorch and I think Resolve secondary is gone and now you would take Inspiration for the 5% CDR and 1-10% CDR rune stat and rush 45% CDR.

I dont think many people liked playing against it. It was just another case of way to ranged users abusing melees in a already aids lane.

I still noticing Soraka being played top, she is no longer an auto win though.

Early laning has gone to shit. I'm personally fine with all the nerfs except for mana regen. You're only q-ing super low minions anyways, and the haste is enough still to run away from things like sett w's. You can definitely still bully melees. Won't be able to do much against enemy tanks, but in low elo no one thinks to camp soraka top so you can def still play it.

Q nerfs wasn't the problem, and farming is still relatively the same. Instead of rushing Ionian boots first I'd recommend first tier boots and mana regen items. Personally I take domination secondary for taste of blood - but more importantly ultimate hunter. You get 40% CDR with items late game + Ultimate hunter stacks are easy with your ult. I get usually a 60 second ultimates without any cloud drakes. Late game leave lanes for the carries, and building Athenes -> Redemption -> Warmogs -> health items to give you warmog bonus.

Against things you can kill (ie teemo, fiora) take aery, manaflow band, transcendence and scotch/gathering storm. Against things you can't kill (Garen, Ornn) take grasp.

Again idk how well this works plat+ but. Soraka summoner 4 summoner 21 still best runes to take.

Edit; Also; haven't tried this yet but instead of dorans ring you can take spellthiefs if you have a yi on your team... For the funnel :^]
