Autofill probably wouldn't even be necessary if we could queue up for more than 2 roles

lamo.

just rofl.

no, you [redacted], it wont. because "support" is obviously not going to be one of the roles you queue for, so it wont.

autof-ill is basically "not enough people queue for support, time to make some OTPs play fill support".

In my opinion if Support didn't have such a high probability to play if you selected it as a secondary option (or teritiary if it existed) people would be more willing to select it. Rito did make adjustments to matchmaking to make it better (and I think they could adjust it more), but it will take the player base a bit to notice and accept it.

I think if you Q as Top/Support, the matchmaking system should keep track of what you are Qing as, not allow Support to be more then 33% of your Top/Support games, and not allow you to get your secondary role more then 2 games in a row. Similar process if they added a 3rd option. Say you Q as Top/Jungle/Support, Support can't be more then 20% of those games, and you can't get support in back to back games. These limitations would have to be disabled for anything more then Qing solo though, as if you Q with 2+ people they would be sometimes impossible to enforce.

This, i used to be support secondar (pre s6), now i have to gamble with mid secondary.

I highly doubt many people would select support for their third role if they didn't select it as one of their first two.

Autofill is high elo feature i heard support is desired role in high elo.

You could have people queue for four roles and still next to no one would be playing support. It's not a problem with how the queue works, it's a problem that the queue was never going to work until Riot made drastic changes to the support role to make it more appealing. The changes this patch were nice... for a start. The tip of the iceberg.

The roll select queue would be fine if support weren't so unpopular Riot has to force players to fill it.

And the worst part? We, as players, told Riot that this shit was going to happen if they ever did a "queue by role" system all the back in season 2-3 and every season since then. There's optimism, and then there's holding your hands over your ears and screaming denial.

The problem is support secondary or fill = 100% support , i dont mind playing support like 20% of the time but i cant do that.
