that i have to be humiliated by tryharding platinum 3 player in normals , and all this in iron and bronze players environment

this shows how the only real balance issue is the matchmaking itself.... all along

I mean, this sort of system is the only real way to drive up smurfs leveling up alternative accounts, they will have ungodly winrates which sees them put into much higher mmr brackets as quickly as possible to ensure they dont bully the people who actually are new.

But indeed the unfortunate side effect is indeed that a non smurf who archives a high winrate will indeed see their MMR rise rapidly thus putting them into higher MMR brackets as well, resulting in a near certain beatdown.

....

Well i cant think of any better solutions and all i can think of to say is that its unfortunate.

50% win ratio. You can't escape that.

(it kinda stinks of a rigged system, doesn't it?)

Ranked and normals don´t use the same mmr (if I remember correctly). A challenger who plays only ranked could have an iron mmr in normals cause he never played normals. Despite that normals has less restrictions than ranked which makes it again harder (3-5 premades with varying mmr between each of them).

Matchmaking is poor, balance is poor, complaints are many. Here's the thing: we still play, and people still give Rito money. Ergo, from Rito's point of view, everything is working fine

tryharding platinum 3

you mean a summoner thats good at the game?

edit- should mention i agree with what you said, just that comment is stupid AF.

hrooza dota 2/8/2019, 11:57:06 PM2 votes

the plat player you talk about was parting with an iron player i think

as in his recent normal games was with the same iron player

he also was not tryharding as his main was gnar and brand based on his rank

S9 matchmaking is somehow a lot worse than before. Idk what happened, but it just doesn't work at all.

undercover90002/10/2019, 12:53:02 PM1 votes

yes I think if the matchmaking is fixed it would then snowball into fixing the two others main issues that people complain about which is balance and report system

The problem with the "you will be placed in a higher bracket" defense is that when it does this, you retain the same level of teammates. Thus ensuring you have no chance of winning even if you are mechanically equal to the rank you are playing against. Your teammates instantly feed and then afk after dying 5 times in 3 minutes and you are stuck trying to carry players that need banned.

I cannot understand what that sentence means due to the language barrier. Sorry. Did you mean to say you're a plat 3 player who got placed in iron and you're embarrassed because you're struggling? You're either embarrassed because you're struggling or it's so easy for you that it's like you're in normals. I can't tell which right now.

Raiyza2/11/2019, 6:10:46 PM1 votes

See, what I don't understand is why the system makes ridiculous assumptions.

For example, if I go on a 4 game win streak, the system assumes I am actually higher skilled than my rank, and thus my MMR is high. Then the system will pair me with higher ranked opponents to see if I can win that. At least, this is how I understand it.

My question is: Since when does a small winstreak automatically make me a tier higher? This is why the system seems stupid to me. Why am I punished for actually winning games?

Normals matchmaking is a shitshow - there are no restrictions, so someone who's Iron 4 can queue up with their plat 3 buddies and have a roflstomp.

I've had fucking diamonds in games where the average rank on both sides, minus that player, would have been middle silver. And I know that the link between rank and MMR is casual, but three entire leagues away? That's garbage.

that you are going to have a total of 28 feeders over the next 7 games so your wins will mean nothing in the end.

Death, taxes, and Rito.

RIGGED!

Souji2/9/2019, 4:33:04 AM1 votes

I had a few good games and then i get uneven games where its just my team getting stomped. Worst part are the attitudes and bm. Like really?

Sucction2/9/2019, 6:22:01 AM1 votes

Normals have different mmr to ranked. Rank is completely and utterly irrelevant for normals matchmaking.

Finally i can get two wins in my promo's by spamming them because promo's are always instantly lost by toxic/griefer/trolls/tilted people. Justice after all these years. Gold will maybe finally be achievable for me now.

Gear5Luffy2/9/2019, 2:36:22 PM1 votes

I won 6 games of sylas in a row made it to plat one then the shitstorm began, gold 4 players in my games and then suddenly losing 20 lp while winning 13/15 lp
