Add Darius some useful utility and then we might see him at tournaments

Honestly I don't see a good reason to pick him in competitive games outside counter picking some champions like . He isn't good at contesting objectives because he has no sustain against monsters (Nashor-Dragon) and just lose his HP without getting anything. His splitpush is also mediocre (Yes I know about Darius build in solo queue but I'm not mentioning his solo queue strategy). Some people may ask me "then why only Darius? We have plenty champions that do not appear in tournaments". Well you see he is the only champion that had 0% pickrate since 2013 mid season to 2015 juggernaut update. Then he appeared only when he was overpowered. So that's why. He has some good potential is his game design and all Riots need to do is to shift his power from straight forward 1v1ing people to coordinated play.

I would honestly love to see him even slightly pro viable. Not every game viable, but enough that he shows up a few times.

But think of this:

-Champs with rage blade can proc passive vs minions/monsters/towers -Irelia can proc passive vs minions and monsters (maybe even towers, but not sure) -Jinx and jax charge passive on minions and towers -tryn and renekton charge passive on minions and monsters -vayne procs W passive on monsters (for huge damage) -Brand procs passive on monsters -Morde (I think, but could be wrong), procs passive on monsters

Now, I understand darius's passive is core to his kit and would be insane if he could proc 5 stacks noxian might on minions (if he could even get 5 stacks on anything other than canons and supers), but it seems silly to me that darius doesn't get ANYTHING but the shabby non-enhanced blood stacks against any of those things.

Darius should be able to proc a separate version of his noxian might against towers and monsters that gives him half of the AD value, and blood stacks should deal 1% of the monsters hp in true damage for each stack applied AND refreshed over the duration. Again, it would be a separate version, so darius couldn't just proc noxian might on a monster or tower, then turn it instantly on the enemy team.

Another cool twist would be this: If darius has 5 stacks on an epic monster like drag or baron, and lands the finishing blows, he automatically gains noxian might, and if he destroys a tower after hitting it 5 consecutive times (within X seconds), then he will also gain noxian might.

Who knows, jungle darius could become a thing then

Champions have different level of usefulness in solo play vs teamplay.

Darius is a juggernaut. Which means his job is to kill players, do damage and not die which hes very good at. If youre looking for tanks with cc check out gnar or maokai

Edit: champions also have different skill ceilings and skill floors. Yasuo has a high skill ceiling so hell get played often in high level tournaments.

Blitzcrank is very good for low elo and id recommend him for anyone who wants to climb to gold but youll never see him in the lcs
