To botlaners

Start putting summoner 7 on the support, and have the adc take summoner 3

Why?

Because grievous wounds no longer effect healing from outside sources, meaning that should the ADC get ignited, having the heal on another person makes it twice as effective at protecting the carry.

Just a thought.

FINALLY, I can heal myself when I'm dying for my Marksman, and don't have to hope they'll remember to do it themselves. The amount of Marksmen who never heal for others is terrifying.

And i thought i was the only one [zombie-nunu-tears]

Personally I try to heal at the last possible second because of things like ignite or I wanna make sure they are gonna live because using heal on a person that's going to die is useless

morris12 votes

For some reason I see most marksmen do the opposite and heal me when I'm caught out by Blitz hook, even though I'm level 6 Alistar and have over half health. Then again, it shows they have a soul so yeah :P

It's also worth noting that a lot of supports will run Windspeaker's, making the heal stronger and granting resists to the carry when they do pop it.

This would work....but it'd help if heal actually did its job.

Like legit, I was a midlane brand, roamed bot and killed their supp and adc was gonna die soon. Someone dived stupidly (normals, mistakes happen) and came back just barely surviving with a few minion attacks that would surely kill him. I actually remember I have heal and press it but then Galio dies.

Let's forget the 10 health Galio who's literally 1ft from me. No lets heal the full health quinn thats 10ft away -_-. Like srsly?

Ok turns out I was slightly wrong, Galio didn't die straight away, but had heal worked he would've survived the encounter against rengar

edit2: k turns out I was even more wrong. Apparently, my cursor must've been near quinn moreso than galio :/.

Azure Dancer1 votes

It heals the person closest to your cursor I believe.

Baron of Bread13 votes

If you didn't have your cursor over Quinn then it would have gone for Galio. It targets the lowest health ally only if the cursor is not over another valid target.

It heals the person closest to your cursor if you didn't know

To be fair, Rengar would have killed him even if he received the heal. Don't beat yourself up too much, buddy.

Fuck that I main Sona and I run Ignizzle and I sure as fuck for shizzle the enemy laner and end on 10+ kills

"SUPPORT"

TendajiX1 votes

This made my day omg XD

Stars Shaper4 votes

Nice to know, that totally skipped my eyes and brain.

Plus it gives ADC a way to keep under check their enemies without the need of a support.

HenryDahNewb4 votes

For me its summoner 7 on supports and summoner 21 on adcs for the old fashioned protect the doublelift comp.

Penns3 votes

Grievous wounds are only 40% healing reduction now tho, so its not twice as effective.

Whenever I have to support I go Zilean and I take summoner 7 and summoner 4 because I have a gigantic slow already xD

High52 votes

If I had a nickle for every time I played Naut and someone asked me to take exhaust ... :(

Rıots Bad Client2 votes

You, whaa... You take summoner 3 for the slow, I take it for... everything else.

The slow is just a minor bonus. :B

The Loveless1 votes

Yeah but Zil's slow is so huge that people can't orb walk, kite or escape. They have to essentially crawl and deal with your minion wave and/or a gank and/or an engage from just your bot lane.

Zavern2 votes

You are aware that exhaust reduces their damage by 40% and protections by 10 right?

ModWulf Helhammer2 votes

I can see that working, but only if the support is with you 100% of the time, which they aren't. Heal is also used for more then just healing, the MS boost can be used as a quick escape, or last hit on a champion

GrReaper967 votes

summoner 6 anyone?

SH Azykan2 votes

This is..actually really smart. Paired with the one keystone it also makes the heal even better for the support to have...huh Well only if the support is one who can run that mastery, otherwise it might still be better for the adc to carry heal and the support to take exhaust/ignite

Lunar Silkworm2 votes

I took exhaust on my ADCs 90% of the time even before the season change, especially in ranked.

Reducing incoming damage from an enemy diving champion by 35% is more effective health than what heal's active gives to you, it improves your dueling against other ADCs (I've outdueled an enemy Vayne due to exhaust alone), and an ADC is most able to make full use of its reduced armor duration.

The only ADC that benefits more from heal than exhaust that I can think of would be potentially Ashe, and that's because she has natural kite and range to work with.

FistOfSharkiesha2 votes

I disagree. I've never believed in the concept that the support is some martyr that has to die for their adc at every moment. The ADC needs to be able to have control of the MS boost from heal. Most supports have some means of escape (slow, MS boost, stun, shield), but very few ADCs are safe. If the ADC is ever caught out without the support, they need that MS boost to get away safely.

FastAsHeck2 votes

or just run 2xsummoner 3 this spell is way too underrated

Daedalus8711 votes

I'd much rather run cleanse or ghost on my ADC than heal, and you sort of need an exhaust for when that one person on the enemy team gets ridiculously fed.

So while this may be appropriate in teams, I wouldn't do it in solo queue.

Der Lindwurm1 votes

People seriously LOSE THEIR SHIT when I take heal (or anything other than exhaust) as support, though.

blueberrypancake2 votes

It depends on the enemy comp but I'm ok with the support taking ignite

My Waifu Vanilla2 votes

I prefer my supports to take ignite over exh anyway especially with all the lifesteal going around and its easier to get a kill in lane with it.

7Artemis71 votes

I like taking ignite on supports with high kill pressure (Thresh, Annie, etc.) but I usually ask the ADC first because if I don't ask they rage.

IceKingChernobog1 votes

this is interesting

Ipols1 votes

I used to ask my ADC to switch exhaust for heal not for the OP's reason, but because since Zed and Talon keep going for him, he can exhaust them faster in case I'm engaging or doing other stuff

Primaquarius1 votes

I take summoner 7 / summoner 3 all day regardless of role, because its just so effective for 1v1 or escapes

The Loveless2 votes

I love getting a killing spree from people who don't run flash. Bless your kind soul.

Primaquarius1 votes

The downvotes tho...bless these meta sheep and their inability to use other strats

The Loveless1 votes

I mean it's not that your setup is bad in a 1v1, it's just bad because you can't push out. You are constant gank-bait, and once you use both heal and exhaust, you're a quick meal in a 1v1 against whoever your lane opponent is, because they probably have a level and item advantage after repeatedly killing.

I have never lost to someone who skips flash, even if it's TP top.

Primaquarius1 votes

If I'm low health, my strats in a 1v1 just involve more distance

God of Anime1 votes

looks good on paper only. heal is still essential on adc

The Loveless1 votes

Right, essential. And before that it was cleanse, and before that it was barrier, and before that it was ignite.

Strats, son.

Hyrum Graff1 votes

I always loved doing that as Soraka support, so I can heal myself for even more heals for my adc ;)

The only issue, honestly, is that everyone is so used to playing with heal that they forget how to use exhaust :S

God of Anime1 votes

so hows the exhaust adc meta going for you guys?
