Where does one go for "tips and tricks" discussions?

Is this the appropriate forum for those discussions? 90% of the stuff that gets posted here are balancing complaints. Which gets old after the first 100 of them. And some of the arguments, strategies and advice that gets posted here is biased or misinformed. It makes me wonder is all.

If this is where one goes to ask for help or give help how come there are no threads pertaining to this? And if this isn't where the tips and tricks discussions take place then direct me to the correct location of these discussions. Also, please take into account that I am not level 30 yet and have no access to general discussion.

The old Forum used to have many more sections. This "Gameplay" is too broad and it's mostly people complaining & sometimes giving trolling advice rather than genuine helping your question (I know there are still people who would give true thoughts about it).

Riot needs to open another section for Tips & Tricks questions like you proposed. I too have questions I wanted to ask but knowing Gameplay board, I rather ask a stranger in my blindpick match.

I feel the same way too. I simply don't trust the people who post here to not derail a thread or spew negativity. The old tips and tricks section wasn't a majorly frequented section but it still served a positive purpose. That's why it boggles my mind why Riot decided to keep the overly pessimistic complaint board about how Riot balances their game but not the board where players teach one another how to get better at the game in a sincere and genuine manner. Like, who exactly made that decision?

I think they need feedback =] As hard as it is to hear, the ones complaining has to have a reason of where the complaints come from lol. But for helping out players about game-related purpose, they really, really need to open a new sub-forum that specifies this. I could ask GD but sometimes the mood there is so nice & positive about something else I didn't wanna ruin it , haha.

They complain too much and complain about really stupid stuff. Like Hecarim having too much life steal or that Kha'zix deals too much damage. I mean it's cheap entertainment but there really is nothing important being talked about on here.

That would be Gameplay.

Except Gameplay is now called "Complain about Solo"... so I guess perhaps we're screwed on that count.

Any chance that we can tune down the complaining from excessive to occasional in the near future? I would really appreciate if everyone who posts here had something productive to say and were willing to help other players instead of all the never ending complaining that goes on here.

That would be refreshing, as I love conversation about Theory Crafting, Comps, Builds and a variety of other Game Play categories.

Make one. I just don't think you will get a major conversation started since if it's not a complaint thread it just nds up getting buried.

I realize that the gameplay title would make you think this would be the place to go for that sort of stuff but this should be the LAST place you go looking for help. There's more bronze people here than in a Hollywood tanning salon. You should only ever come here if you're looking for a laugh because half the shit that gets posted on here is senseless garbage. I swear some of the people here should get their license to speak revoked because they speak such garbage.

GD gives decent advice as well as some insults but atleast the advice makes sense and isn't stupid. Just make sure to get thick skin before you post there. Miscellaneous is probably the next best bet but not much foot traffic there.

I've been coming here for help. It's not all bad but you do have to sift through the troll posts which may be hard to distinguish for newer players.

And I think Riot removed it because it didn't have as big of a population as the other sections did.

Yeah, I miss Tips & Tricks too. It was nice giving back and helping people learn the game. I post way less now that they removed that section. It was half the reason why I even posted on here to begin with.

I really hope that they do bring it back. Because for new players this game is complex enough. Atleast make it simple to find where to get help on getting better at the game. I mean its a staple for all the other major complex games to have a help section, why does league have to be different?

Idk. Riot likes to look at things logically thenot throw logic out the window and then spin a wheel of bad ideas and whatever it lands on they enact into PBE.

GD and Miscellaneous are your best bets. This is the forum you come to complain about stuff that happened in your most recent game. I refer to Gameplay as the "dear diary" thread page.
