Should I start playing ranked?

I have been playing this game for about a year now (since Evelyn's rework) never in my time playing this game that I have touched ranked at all

I like the enjoyment of climbing, but then a lot of people say ranked is toxic apparently there are A LOT of feeders and ragers and just a lot of toxic things

Idk I've been thinking about playing ranked for a long time but have never brought myself to touch it so my question is

What are some pros and cons of playing/starting ranked?

Pros: The most even matchmaking you can get.(despite popular belief)

Cons: The higher up you get the more stressful it becomes.

Yea this is actually true. No other queue is as fair as ranked solo. Normals and Flex are pretty random

I know people claim that ranked is toxic, but I actually have better luck there than I do in normals a lot of the time.

I have to be in a certain mindset to enjoy ranked. But I think, over all my years of League, I've probably logged a lot more ranked games than normals. Not sure if that's true this season, in particular, but I imagine it is over all time.

Anyway, just be prepared for some people to take it too seriously. I don't mean that I don't play to win. I do. I take the competition seriously. But it isn't a matter of life and death, and you will run into teammates who act like it is.

If you are offensive by yourself most of your games will be toxic. If you are chill you have less toxic games. I am in Plat atm and most of my games are very quiet and professional. Ofc sometimes there are raging kiddy's but you can mute them.

But in silver/gold I had more toxic games because people there can't play and so everyone is blaming each other.

if you are not really, really good at a champ, you should not play ranked. one way to measure this, would bbe look at your last 10 games. If you average more than 5 deaths per game.. you are not ready.

you should do your placements right now before season ends, you can get your season rewards! Just 10 games my dude
