Questions for PBE players
After seeing some of the new items, but not having a good idea about the new masteries, I'm curious how certain playstyles work in the content that's going to be coming out soon. I mainly play support and CC oriented tanks (I don't trust players in solo queue to peel well or initiate good fights) but it seems like there are a lot of new items that really work against them. Are these types of champions still effective against things like "send your sightstone my regards?" Or do they just end up getting decimated by giantslayer passive? Can tanky supports like Alistar/Braum still effectively tank damage when they can usually only afford to build HP as their defensive stat?
Also, do champions like Trundle still work against this new Executioner's Calling? I've been thinking for a while now that AD should have a way to apply grievous wounds again, but it seems like they get a lot of other stats that they wanted to build anyway, turning it from a niche pick to a "well, the enemy has some lifesteal, and this item is inherently good so now I'll counter both their self-heal and defensive items. Basically, are fighters that want to build more on the tanky side rather than full on damage still able to do their job, or do the ADCs and high damage fighters like Riven just kill them too quickly to be effective?
I've seen a lot of whining on the boards, but I'm curious how it actually works in practice since fights go a lot differently when you factor in that it's hard to do maximum damage when an enemy champ is in your face, and people generally theorycraft based on optimal conditions for whoever or whatever they're complaining about.
