The Single Biggest Issue In League of Legends Today - 'Every Role Matters to Much'

The Single Biggest Issue in League of Legends Today is that 'Every Role Matters to Much'. They all are these damage dealing, high-skill cap monsters across all lanes.

This is why people struggle to climb solo queue despite going 13-2. The game is so set on every role dealing damage, being heavily skill-based and not allowing for mistakes. This is not the League of Legends of the past and even the past was only in the right direction.

This is not a hate thread. I do like the path they set out on for League of Legends in many ways but the meta itself of every role mattering this much is not one of them. Solutions are not that hard to find when your looking to solve this but first foremost we need to agree it's an issue. There are 2 main roles you can address to fix this. Tanks and Supports.

Tanks need to be less skill-based, allowing for more mistakes and be putting out less damage. Shorter CC Combos. Lower cool-downs to re-initiate these shorter cc combos. Far more Upfront Tankiness. Far less damage-output. Tank items that offer movement speed increases after casting abilities to allow them to make mistakes.

Supports need to be putting out less damage and be allowed more mistakes. You address this is in the support items and a radical overhaul to all champions to make them far more reliant on scaling instead of flat damage. You offer supports even more incentive to buy support items through movement speed bonuses, escape item abilities, and stat increases for nearby allies.
