What's the point of going beyond mastery lv 5?

Do we get anything for it? I just hit mastery 6 with Teemo ( I took waaaaaaaaaaayyy to much pride in that tbh ) and I don't really get it. I asked one of my friends about it and she just said "You get bragging rights!" But I mean is there an actually point to it though? It just seems like a bunch of work for nothing.

What do you get for mastery 5? Or 4? Nothing. It's to show everyone you are experienced with said champion, and yes, bragging rights if you spam mastery emote (ctrl+7)
