Sorry just venting about ranked matching

I dont know what riots match making while people are in promos entails but from my perspective it seems like you either carry a team or you fail promos. Ive Failed promos twice now by situations completely out of my control.

Promo series one game one: Shaco gets caught by invaders, flames team for not helping him leash. We go back to help him, enemy team never left and murders shaco bot lane kills 0-5 by 2min in while shaco would not stfu i muted him and its all down hill from there. I ended up 9-7 mid only positive person
game 2: Enemy team was slightly better then us but then again 5-10 darius picked the dumbest of fights i went 1-4-13 (support) game 3: Basically the same as game 2 but this time it was a poppy that picked really dumb fights and lost us the game. Failed series back at 70 lp ok not bad i can climb that.

Promo series 2 game 1: Lb goes 8-13 while a shyv thought it would be awesome to go 1 v 5 on multiple occasion i ended up 2-10-19 (support) by tanking so that my team could live and get kills. game 2: adc flames me for not tanking blitz grabs then flames me for doing so, while camile and lee circle jerk eachother over every mistake they made. We lost i went 3-6-6 support. game 3: Adc the master of getting caught while jax and yi split push all game 1-8-10 (support) back to 40 lp now feeling super discourage.

Yes i do play support a lot (support main) mainly because 8/10 times if i dont play support i get a feeding bot lane

Does riot just match you with people way below your tier while putting you against gold and plats?
