Why do people rank shame?

So many silver 5's have come up to me and said "you're bronze like every other girl gamer" lol why the classification? It personally doesn't bother me too much, I just find it funny. Reason I don't focus on climbing is because Im a law student who works part time model & honestly with all my studies, I just find ranked a waste of time.

I play for fun. I don't shame people for being bad at online games. Now Imma shut my bronze ass up & let you all continue with your day ;)

I would like to point out for every dick that gets compelled to upvote some post that is girl related.

There happens to be a vigina out there that seeks self approval though being sexualized by a dick. Maybe not though social media in every case, but it happens. And both sides are a part of the problem.

He's being a jerk, and you're flaming right back at him. Ignore him since he is bringing nothing to the discussion of your post.

On that note, I agree that this problem needs to be discussed. But the root problem is the total maturity of the community, and what they can expect to get away with.

I've noticed women seem to always try to discord, never guys. Over the past week I've been invited to 3 discords, all from a woman. I think this is mainly because they like the attention it brings, gifts, social recognition, a lot of things that are beneficial.

I don't know what's more sad, that they get all that attention, or that they yearn for it so much. Really I don't blame them, if someone gave me gifts because of my voice and boosted me, I'd scream I'm a girl as well.

This is also why there's a disproportionate number of female streamers compared to the percentage of them actually in that game. They get followers easier and encouragement from random dudes who are either socially awkward teenage boys or lonely.

Because I'm diamond and everything below me is trash tier. No, but for real. People think they are much better than you, because their number (in league the rank) is higher than yours. They are silver, while you're bronze, so you must be worse than them, because you couldn't manage to climb. Just ignore them. They might have the better rank now, but people who shame others for their rank, clearly don't deserve their current rank.

Silver is by far the most douchebag elo. I've smurfed in all of them, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Plat, get low diamond every now and again, and the toxicity in Silver is quite honestly astounding.

They all watch these videos that are telling them how to "carry," and how their team doesn't know what they're doing, guides on how to get better, and to be frankly honest they don't realize they are one of those people. They think that just because they watched some diamond streamer tell them how to get out of low elo they are somehow marginally better than their teamates and are stuck, so they're frustrated little heathens, trying to shame the only people they can, bronzes.

That sums it up pretty well.

Actually, the few people i do watch "Huzzy, Stonewall, Redmercy" all have helped me go from bronze 5 to gold 5 :3 some of their tips do help

It's a matter of pride for a lot of people. They find it useful ammo in arguements becuase they can rank call and immediatly paint you as someone not worth listening to.

Not to mention that becuase Bronze is viewed in such a negative light, people who have pride in these things are so desperate to get out of it so they can get away from the "trash" of LoL.

Like, dude, it's just your skill at a videogame. No need to shame other people for not being as dedicated as you. It's this thinking that is part of what makes Bronze a cesspool of toxicity.

Usually when I see rank brought up it is done as a lazy counter argument to someone's point. It probably comes up so often because it is far easier to call someone a stupid bronze than to actually put together a real explanation for why X is better than Y. lol

It also is an easy way for people to feel better about themselves, I guess. XD

Obviously if someone is bronze and says their good at the game that speaks for itself and is clearly a false statement. Wasn't what I was talking about though and I probably should have worded it more clearly. ^_^;; I was referring more to if a bronze player were to say X(item/champion) is better than Y(item/champion), which of course the bronze player might very well be wrong about, but someone responding to that statement by "you're bronze", is still a rather lazy counter argument if it is not followed by actual reasons for why the bronze player was incorrect. XD

Classifications are in everything, but started as the food chain, Predatory animals (carnivore/omnivore) would be known to have forward facing eyes for focus and canine teeth for tearing, while Prey would have eyes on the sides of the head to be on alert.

Civilization kinda turned into a thing and the strongest and more educated would lead, while leading that person or persons could become more powerful whether that be by currency or just being able to eat more and retain said strength or both. Bronze is like the Plebeian of society while, Challenger are the Kings and Queens.

Usually it will be for the same reason that some people in Bronze or Silver think that they deserve Diamond or whatever but their "trash team" is keeping them in elo hell.

Because animals such as humans have this need to make them selfes more valuable and attractives than their rivals. That's why they use everything they can find to proof this.

In Internet they never meet each other - that's why the use their ability to play hard Champions or their Rank as a proof.

And shaming others makes you look bigger while making them look weaker. Two Birds, one stone.

Rank in a video game means nothing to me compared to surgeons who save lives or the police who keep the streets pretty safe.

Rank is an average measurement of skill, it's not the end-all-be-all, but it is a general categorization of overall skill as a whole. Literally, the only thing that's separating a silver player from a platinum one, is that one of them knows how going even in lane is far better than feeding in an attempt to gain an advantage.

They can talk smack all they want, but it will not change the score. People need to grasp the concept that flaming is counter intuitive and useless, insulting teammates will not magically turn them into a diamond 1 carry player.

There is a difference in Skill between Bronze 3 and below, and silver 5. Bronze 1 and 2 are just as skilled as SIlver 5 players usually. Some of you guys may lol at this, but there is a difference between low bronze and high bronze to silver. I've climbed From Bronze to Silver nearly over five times since playing this game. The difference is sudden, sharp and noticeable.

In Bronze 3 and anything below it, you can pick any early game jungler and just spam ganks getting kills everyhere, whenever you feel like it. In that elo, you don't even have to worry about farming the jungle much when you could just farm champions. The death counts are also much bigger in Bronze vs SIlver. In low Bronze people stuggle to barely get 90 cs by 20 minutes.

Another difference is that in Bronze, you don't have to dodge skillshots most of the time. You can just move left to right repeatedly and not get hit. In Low bronze, you don't have to lead skillshots at players usually, you can just aim directly at them and they will get it by them. If you try to lead/predict you will probably miss your skill-shots against these players. Overall, people don't farm much in Bronze.

I have a similar problem. I don't like playing ranked because i get way too competitive and ruin my own mood for me plus i have little time to try and climb. However in normals i always get matched with gold & plat players (guess i have high MMR?) and i get constant flame if i happen to have a bad game because im unranked. it can get annoying sometimes.

But really, if you don't want to be shammed just stay unranked, rank is mostly for ego on this community, if you remain unranked then they can hold it against you, and you can efficiently use the excuse "I just find ranked a waste of time" specially since some people get to gold or plat in very few games usually less than 100.
