Why would they target you?

they dont ... just like everything in league every one is a victim and riot and their teammates are at fault for all their bad play and loses

just put on your tin foil hat and wait

Actually it hooks straight up to the Security cameras in the White house so you can project onto your wall exactly whats going on and get an in depth look at what is actually going on in the White House.

if riot did this purposely then no one would climb and make it to higher elo brackets

This is some compelling evidence you have here.

There has been a belief the same thing happens with Overwatch. Once you hit a certain curb with your progression, the MMR of their system was expected to deliberately work against you to slow you down with landsliding losses and potential frustration.

It is what it is though, even if it somehow did end up being the case.

HotS (Heroes of the Storm) has the same issue.

(I play it as well as this, so I should know.)

expect those who are truly better then the elo they are playing in continue to climb til they plateau and start to get "stuck" and cant win promos etc...

kinda funny how the same people get to diamond every season... when others blame the system they cant get beyond silver or gold

If I were to reach the point of blaming something, it'd probably involve me exampling the staggering amount of reports I've had to make, if it were possible. Gold feels like a pipe dream, partly due to lessening frequency in games as of late, but it's still a goal. -

HotS is too different though. It doesn't allow you to pre-determine your team, so the meta of the game is 'luck'. You literally place a gamble as to how simple or difficult your matches will be, and in the cases of a lot of players, it could potentially throw too hard of a curve ball.

but in all honesty if you clearly were gold skill/fringe plat you would easily get to gold... but you arent gold skill you are silver 5 50% win rate ... you are a fringed silver high bronze skill . and so what... try to learn how to be better. get better. and when you are better you can climb but not til then.

maybe there are something you do that are good and better then your mmr but there clearly have to be weaknesses to your over all game other wise you would have a higher mmr and a higher rank...

also not every one can make to plat + if everyone could then there would be more people in those elos and higher but there isnt... but keep in mind every year ... those people that keep playing slowly improve... so that just means it gets a lil harder and harder to get to high elos

I should also preface the fact that we're dealing with seasons that also steadily promote quicker games, and indirectly promote snowball games as a fault. If we were speaking of this game in terms of maybe a few seasons ago at least, I'd agree with you there, and wouldn't have much to argue against. Except when I often see the other lanes crumble like paper mache, and my 23/3 something has as much worth as the circumstantial fights I've had to pull out of my arse just to slow them down rather than actually progress... not so much.

Like I said, it is what it is, but I honestly do think the saying "You are as good as your position" can only mean so much. I don't disagree with you either way, as it is true that everyone has their faults and need to improve upon them if you want to get better, but I'd rather assume the bigger picture at this point, otherwise we're intentionally blinding ourselves to, what feels like, a devil's advocate that makes up what the game is as of now.

and this happens in all elos and mmrs all the way up ... we are all playing the same game... just at different skill levels and understanding

This point isn't wrong, but it is redundant. You essentially compounded what you'd said already.

how is it wrong... you stated " I should also preface the fact that we're dealing with seasons that also steadily promote quicker games, and indirectly promote snowball games as a fault. blaming the meta of the game of why people dont climb... however every one even higher elo plays this meta... and players who were diamond 2 yrs ago are diamond now if not higher

so its not the meta why you are in silver 5 it is your skill level

I'm feeling less and less encouraged to use the forums when so far every post this week I'm being given contradictions. Look, I said you were right, but the post itself was redundant since you were essentially repeating itself. Don't bother arguing something that wasn't there.

Also I'm not blaming anything. I'm saying we're at a point with these seasons where there are multiple events that play into a win and loss, that's... friggin'... it.
