Replacing crit...
i've seen plenty of threads from time to time crying about crit chance and crit based champions. however i havent seen much threads about a possible replacement to this RNG based stat. so i decided to come up with something.
now, the problem with Crit is that it gives a lot of power based on a random chance. in a game that supposedly relies on player skill this shouldnt happen. we could remove Crit, but we have to replace it with something else because certain champions have an interaction with it, and certain items make use of the stat.
the current concept is inspired on items like
. however, it would be a bit too powerfull i think, so im gonna make an adjustment to it. the new replacement for crit (for which i dont have a name currently) functions based on the Base Attack Damage of the champion. instead of giving the random chance of dealing a 200%-250% increased basic attack. the new stat gives smaller percentual increments to the damage of basic attacks.
for example, at lvl 18
has 95 base attack damage (aprox). now lets add a typical build:

now, the only crit items from this build are the edge and the phantom. lets replace the crit chance with the new stat which also stacks additively. this means that basic attacks get an extra 50% damage based on the base attack damage of the champion at that lvl, this means an extra 47.5 damage.
but infinity edge has a current passive that increase crit damage by 50%, lets say the new passive increases total basic attack damage to compensate the loss (to not hurt botlane too much).
95 + 47.5 + 70 + 80 + 50 + 40 = 382,5 total damage in a basic attack.
now lets add the passive effect -> 382,5 +50% = 573,75
it would still be a considerable amount of damage for lategame, now add this against an enemy with higher health for that dominik's bonus, also takig in account armor penetration from the item.
it should border between 500-650 damage from basic attacks.
in the case this damage is not enough, the option could be to increase the percentages of the items that use this replacement. so long as to replace crit as an RNG based stat from the game.
im open for more discussion on the matter, specially from ADC mains or people that use crit based champions curently.
