how to stop relying on support?

hey guys, i've only been playing for 5 months now, so in the preseason i only played support in my promos, i did some of tthe best games in my life and i 'd often be with a good team/adc. so i got to silver 4 and was than deemoted to silver 5 cuz i couldn't carry as support and i was stuck with bad players. s i decided to main mid and was such a bad mid laner. so now i'm trying to main adc and carry hard in normal with Ezreal but i often notice that my suupport sucks... not always but like 50% of the time and this is why i fed with ezreal some games(look at mattch history) so what do i do against fed team/lane when playing adc?

Improve your CS and stop building Triforce after gauntlet, they don't stack.

And simply die less, you are playing Ez, you have epic range and blink, poor support can put you at disadvantage, make you lose cs, but shouldn't really make you feed.

Um use your E to not die. And farm Krugs bud. If you lose lane hard. Just go mid and take that tower. Make them come to you. Don't just sit and die

ezreal is mostly caster reliant, if you want to be able to lane with out help I would try to find a marksman thats equal skill casting and auto attacking.

I find ezreals auto attacks to be a little lack luster and rely on Q hitting for safer farming.

Don't react too much on what the support does unless it's an engage or something. Just focus on cs-ing if you need, though it would help if you poked too. A lot of times when I play support, newbie adcs think I'm engaging when I'm only trying to poke. USUALLY, when it's an engage, the support uses cc (USUALLY). (And of course gap closers) But remember engages don't necessarily have to kill the champion. It could also just be for poke.

you know when you try to poke, the proper enemy response is to try to fight back? and that then the adc should try to help you poke so you aren't fighting 2v1? and that often that turns into an all-in fight if one of the four players makes a positioning mistake?

I mean it is true that unaware players don't know how to have a skirmish bot lane a trade, do more damage than taken and then pull out for cooldowns. get the enemy low first, then all-in second. but if one person is fighting, the proper response is also to try to fight.

I literally just described you. Theres a difference between poke and fight. I never even mentioned "fight" in my comment. Poke is dealing damage (safely) from range. But if you get attacked by poking, it's no longer a poke. Thats when it turns into a fight and it's only common sense at that point to help your support.

it is true that, if the matchmaking is proper about half the time the support's worse than you and the other half the time you're worse than your support. that's what anyone would be realistic to expect.

first thing you should do is figure out how to be aggressive with your champions. learn how much damage they're capable of, how close (aka how far) they need to be to do that damage, and etc. then, learn how to play safe and passive. a good adc will first farm passively, but be aware of the distance they need to be from the enemy and be near but not next to the support, so that if the support goes in for a poke/trade that they aren't 2v1. then if the enemy makes too much of a mistake, knowing how to be aggressive lets them punish that player.

  1. Improve your farm, that alone is mostly on you, not the support.
  2. If your support is looking stupid and KNOW that he will die and/or you cannot kill anything, run because if you don't it will only get worse. A good ADC knows when it's time to go in, and when it's time to run, even when it comes to dealing with stupid supports.
  3. We know last hitting is important, but make sure to have some map awareness. If your midlaner and toplaner both have to farm and look out on the map at all times, you should too. Doesn't hurt to remind your support by using pings; even some of the smarter players don't notice things all the time.
  4. Just die less. I mean, especially in this snowbally meta...
  5. Graves Quinn are good ADCs that can function alone, in the case of a bad support that you can't rely on.

Of course you are going to get shitty lane partners once in a while, so you might as well improve on your own part.
