Unjustified AD Shaco Nerfs
For everyone talking about how justified the nerfs to Shaco are, let's first understand that most of the players who still play Shaco are Shaco mains. These people have put in 100s of (ranked) games on Shaco and obviously will have a higher win rate than other champions with lower average games played for the player base.
Is it fair that someone who has mastered a champion should only have a 50% win rate? Probably not. Leaving that aside, while AP Shaco is performing well (~53% win rate pre-nerfs), AD Shaco has been suffering the entire time.
What does not make sense to me, is that the nerfs to Shaco do not only encompass nerfs to AP Shaco. AD Shaco, who is already under-performing, is getting hit as well. Nerfing the bonus AD ratio on Two-Shiv Poison makes almost no sense since AP Shaco only has the 40 bonus AD from gunblade. This nerf exclusively guts AD Shaco. The nerf on the base damage of Hallucinate also hits both AP and AD Shaco. If anything, nerf the AP ratio and not the base damage.
"Shaco's ability to murder from stealth doesn't give opponents enough time to react." Let's first consider AP Shaco. On an even playing field, prior to the 3 item mark, this statement is completely false. Shaco doesn't have the burst damage to instantly combo someone without at least 3 completed items. The only way this happens is if you catch a squishy and immobile target without summoner spells up, in which case Shaco deserves to get the kill. At the 3 item mark, AP Shaco does tend to one-shot squishy targets without any counterplay, so a nerf to the damage may be justified since he cannot be detected by anything except revealing abilities, skill shots, and red trinkets. Now considering AD Shaco, prior to the 3 item mark, Shaco can't kill anything in under 2 seconds. There is plenty of time to react to this. At the 3 item mark, Shaco can burst a target in under 2 seconds, only if the target is alone, has no summoners, is immobile, and is squishy. Once again, if some champion is caught out like that, the kill is well deserved, regardless of how little counterplay there is in that situation. Assuming the target has flash/ghost/heal/allies, there is plenty of time to react and attempt to do something.
TL;DR: If you're going to nerf Shaco, nerf AP ratios not base damage/AD ratios since AD Shaco is under-performing already.
