So I guess being a one trick in ranked isn't possible anymore?
Unless you're playing during busy hours... Otherwise you could get put into a role that restricts you from playing your main due to autofill. RIP me

Imho, being one-trick isn't what this game was designed to be. You need a good stable of champs you can play in different positions in case your champ is banned or you are put in your secondary role. Even the pros adjust to what they are given, when it happens. There are a variety of champs played in the LCS because of counter picks. This means they had to learn more than one champ.
I know a number of one tricks have played their champ in every role, often with more success than you'd think due to their familiarity with the champion.
Autofill really isn't prone to being an issue for the majority anyway considering the majority isn't in the diamond+ MMR ranges where the queue times are long enough to trigger it.
Incidentally, since you're informed it's activated at the start of the queue, people who are really anti-fill should be able to just cancel queue immediately, and try again later in the hopes that the estimated queue time is shorter.
As opposed to previous seasons when there was no role selector at all?
