[Poll] Did 6.9 Improve the Game?
I will reserve my own opinion. Let the numbers speak!
I will reserve my own opinion. Let the numbers speak!
This patch is disgusting.
As an Anivia main, the amount of frustration and impotence I feel upon playing this game ever since 6.9 is unprecedented. For me, she either gets fixed well and fast or I'm quitting this game entirely.
I like the dragon changes. Other than that..... no idea. Seems like most the mages they reworked suck now. And malz seems to be even more annoying and a lot stronger. Was hoping to no longer see zed but with qss changes they helped him. Guess the fact that he is now almost 100% perma banned is nice though.
Literally 0 effort to balance shit out, they are doing shit without players consent. A simple example of that is changing viktor.
Change for the sake of change, that's what this patch is. Absolutely addresses none of the biggest problems except for maybe Kindred.
Change for the sake of change is something companies do to artificially create freshness. It's a short term solution to longer term problems.
I think we should hold our thoughts, considering League has been reverted to Open Beta this season.
6.9 kicked my dog
I feel like just about everything that wasn't mage related feels better after the patch.
Mages however got the short end of the deal, IN THEIR OWN FUCKING PATCH. They almost universally feel more clunky and unreliable, while half feel like they had their identity stolen.
[POLL] Which would you rather have?
I'll let 6.9 choose for you.
As someone who specialized in AP mages and more specifically TP AP mages (think morg, ryse, anivia), all the changes seem incredibly confusing and too bunched together. The removal of boot upgrades cuts incredibly deep as speed was never really an issue to begin with (people moving around the map quicker isn't too big of a deal, if anything it'll make the games quicker), distortion getting removed entirely is probably going to be the death of TP mid laners in general as the cooldown on flash/TP made it worth rushing boots instead of getting raw stat items. The changes in AP items doesn't exactly help too much, as people will still be using the same core ones with only minor tweaks (supports will probably rush the protobelt, and noone will prioritize cdr with it being so common now). The changes to characters make absolutely no sense whatsoever. While yi/xin are losing out hard on their early games now, it still sorta feels like AP characters are handicapped hard this patch. Was on the fence on whether to uninstall or not, definitely won't be playing for a while until riot actually fixes their game and puts out stuff that makes some sense.
I like the changes to the pricing of AP items, I feel like I reach my build on mages at a reasonable rate in order to actually affect the game.
Still trying out my main (
) and her changes, but so far they feel good, especially in team fights where tentacles are spawning quick enough for my W to make an impact on the fight without Ulting / waiting for Ult to come off cool down so I can be useful.
Dragon changes are awesome! RH means something now and it's given to laners instead of the jungler for faster clears.
Mages feel great to play (especially Malz, his new W and passive feel great and bump his fantasy to 11)
I was playing games yesterday and for the first time in months I actually had fun with the game.
Not a single problem they tried to address was fixed.
PBE real definition: we have it just so we can say we tested it but stil dont care about if its balanced in any way
I LOVE THIS PATCH! All the jungle changes are awesome! Who gives a fuck about the "OP" mage reworks, they all die the same to the junglers anyway.
Gotta love how people decide on an entire patch based on info on paper and two days worth of testing lol.
I'm liking the jungle changes so far. Gotta try out the mage reworks a bit more before I decide. I tried Vlad on PBE, he seems to scale pretty insanely with the right items and Vel'Koz just feels so nice. :}
This patch makes me want to take a break from LoL for awhile.
Pretty content. As a jungler, had more meaingful fights over dragon in my last 4 games than I have in all of S4-S5
Of course this poll is biased because the boards populous by-and-large hates the patch so I'm expecting to be put at -18 for having an opinion that's not part of the masses.
The new dragons are cool i guess, i like the new AP itemization, and the regular patch changes are cool (Especially
now being able to use
on his passive), but some the mage reworks weren't asked for, or were asked not to change (
) and weren't needed, or are here just because (
),
and maybe
reworks were successful, i don't know about the rest of them, but a some of them should just be reverted, and it would be an awesome patch.
juggernauts, marksmen, assassins, mages...lets just change everything completely even though obviously people already liked the game. oh did i say completely? i meant completely for more popular picks, not for yorick, amumu, evelynn, singed, etc etc not that they need changes...well maybe yorick
As a jungler I feel like I have so much more control over how the game goes. My team feeding in the early game? Give my top laner Herald and he can take more hits and deal more damage, even if he dies. My team is ahead or even? No problem, I'll just solo dragons and give my team much more power.
Ocean Drake is a little disgusting, actually.
Don't even have the enthusiasm to care anymore. 6.9 is the LoL tombstone imo, this game is officially dead to me now. Was fun while it lasted though, I think I'll be joining the group of people that occationally play bot games. Don't see myself playing LoL competitively anymore.
I like the dragon changes. I do not like the rageblade changes as now even vayne is running rageblade and deleting anything she fights all while hiding behind the tanks.
Nerf
's Q Riot what are you doing?
Everyone hates change. We can't say for sure until we all get over that initial reaction - "Ugh! Change!" - and see what things are actually like when we've had time to get used to them.
Malzahar jungle is a thing, Brand jungle is a thing, anyone can become sated now because of the Guinsoo redesign.
The saving grace is that now that the Devourer is removed Rageblade is a late game item, the old fast clearers like Yi or Xin or Tryndamere can't snowball as hard.
Oh, but Viktor blows. Hard.
I don't think anyone asked for that rework.
As a Garen main, this patch literally screwed me more then usual, granted garens weakness to cc comps was always glaring but with the mage update, I now run into full on cc comps, I cant play garen with my q nerf and base speed nerf, I miss my old silence duration as well...
