The Nunu Support player was NOT BANED because he played Nunu Support...

Raoul··136 votes·7,345 views

EDIT: So many people here commenting who never ever watche one video of this guy playing. Notice that NOONE who actually watched this guys gameplay footage is still on his side? I wonder why...

He was freaking baned because HE QUEUED AS SUPPORT, and then basically told the ADC to deal with it!

Watch this guys streams, often times he doesnt even go bot until like 5-8 minutes into the game, he permanently leaves lane, he screws the jungler gank pattern by ganking the lanes constantly, therefore taking income from the jungler...

I dont give a shit about his winrate, play enough games and you can have a positive winrate even while pissing of your whole team.

So for all of you who still dont get it:

This guy got a ban because he FORCED HIS SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE PLAYSTYLE ON THE TEAM. His TEAMMATES reported him for it, because the ADC was 2v1 and he didnt care, the jungler couldnt gank and he didnt care, because he literally didnt care for anyone else but himself!

He was banned because he got support but played jungle

every single game

So, do you think a meta should be enforced?

I don't speak for anyone other than myself, but getting banned for actively trying to win the game is wrong. If the person involved isn't intentionally trying to lose, and their strategy has positive results which lead to a win, I see nothing report worthy about it.

It's pretty obvious that an adc player stuck solo laning bot is going to be angry, but if the other player is actively creating a positive outcome for the team in his absence, nothing should result in a valid report.

He got support

He played jungle

Like the other scumbags in soloqueue who champ select troll

The games he doesn't win And the games he wins Doesn't matter Cause he trolled in both

Do I think the meta should be enforced? Hell no, do I think that you should play support if you get it? Yes.

He tries to win, but he is trolling his team while he does it.

if we win more than we lose like this nunu player was doing I'm fine with it

Kukan Seishin13 votes

But he is trolling no matter what.

He gets support And jungles

A troll Is a troll Win or not

a troll is a player with the intent to ruin the game, not an efficient though unfun tactic

Theres a fundamental probelm with your argument. Although a valid reason to ban, this isnt what Riot is accusing the player of. They are accusing him of bad communication of his strategy. What you are describing would be either attempting to force the adc to play someone who is a good 1v2 matchup, or not helping bot lane and being a team player(lack of teamwork).

Kukan Seishin13 votes

He is not helping the bot lane because he is jungling, and yeah, he isn't communicating because all he does is put one paragraph of "I am doing this you can't stop me" and then playing nunu jg, while having the role of support assigned.

Photos of Ghosts3 votes

He is communicating. He says what he does. If you still are going to pick something that doesn't synergize, it's your choice and you blame yourself for it.

Kukan Seishin3 votes

in champ select

"Hey guys I'm going to pick nunu with smite and go jg, I know I got support but fuck all of you goodbye."

Yeah, great communication.

Faceroll Tactics6 votes

You could make the same argument for off meta stuff like ziggs

"Hey guys, I'm gonna play ap ziggs even though I am playing the adc position and there's nothing you can do to stop me."

How is that different.

You might say because in the client it's bot and not adc, but the client also doesn't say bot lane support, it says support.

Dextix LT3 votes

Okay, then let me try this type of communicating.

"Hey guys, i am picking double mid strategy, i know i got support but i will go double mid no matter what. good luck!!!!!"

This is not communication.

Wimbledofy3 votes

well it is communication. What you're thinking of is compromisation (compromising but with isation added EDIT: I'm a retard, the word I was thinking of is cooperation) or something. It's not great communication, but it still is communication.

Wimbledofy3 votes

Support is just a role that is part of the meta... so yes it is forcing the meta. It's actually so forced that you think someone has to be support and that that is automatically part of what you have to do but really it is just the meta. The whole role selection thing itself is forcing the meta since you can't queue as "other." You can say "Having someone play Support BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY GOT

Is forcing meta, but it's also forcing them to not troll." but you can't say what you said because it's not true.

3TWarrior18 votes

a troll is a player who intentionally tries to ruin the game

an off-meta pick is a champion or strategy not deemed to be the most efficient by majority

Kukan Seishin4 votes

Nunu smite support, yeah off meta

person who gets support, leaves his adc to 2 v 1 the entire game, and jungles instead, banable

3TWarrior5 votes

can you please present a copy of the rulebook?

do not present "have fun but not at your team's expense" as this has been debunked multiple times as it works both for and against the team

there is no hard ruling that the game is played as 1 top, 1 mid, 1 jungle, 1 bottom lane marksman and 1 bottom lane support

the queue system was made this way to provide structure compared to randomly calling out positions and then pick intent happens.

If riot would change the wait time to where both teams approve the start of the match in majority, then off-meta would not be a concern. Game time would increase, but it is an acceptable consequence, or a better thing to do would be to create a timer that is counting down but can be overridden with group majority. If X amount of minutes passes, the group would be given the option to remake into another grouping, that way the opponents could not determine the wait time.

I've never been reported or called troll for Nunu support. Then again I actually went bot lane and roamed when it was safe so maybe that is why. Also I don't think Nunu's kit is that hard to figure out within 2 minutes. He can eat mobs, make you faster, throw ice balls, and set off a big ice explosion.

ZURELL9 votes

his teamates wanted to force him to not play what he was best at.

honestly you should give ppl the benefit of the doubt until they fucking feed. this nunu obviously didnt feed and he tries in all his games. he enjoys playing nunu support counter jung. the one team he's supposedly leaves for dead helps the rest of his team.

so what champion have you "trolled" and gotten a positive winrate with? where are ur statistics that show what ur saying is tru. take the draw gave a spreadsheet of how he was helping his team. you dont know what ur talking about. i doubt you read half of what he posted.

and how many games did you watch? how many times did you see it? you care to show what the hell ur talking about? or are you jsut talking shit for the sake of being involved in the discussion. that's not why he was banned. and eve if it was. he teams should get banned too. for trying to make him play the way they want. this has already been discussed. ur just repeating the same pattern of stupidity.

shut....up.

Traakin16 votes

I think his teammates just wanted some help. The few games I watched, he never went bot. As a support I roam where I am needed (or when I am not needed.) This guy is literally just playing his own little game within a game. He is so focused on his own little minigame that you might as well call it a 4v5.

ZURELL4 votes

that's just not true. he proves as much on the original post. you just actually have to read it

Traakin20 votes

Actually when I first read his post I agreed with him and thought RIOT was out of line. The guy paints himself as a victim here and I admittedly fell for it Up until I visited his twitch and watched some videos. His twitch FAQ alone paints a completely different picture of the him. Very self centered individual who could care less about the team aspect of this game.

ZURELL4 votes

HAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHA literally ALLLL of the highest elo players are self centered. becuz the match making in league matches you with a bunch of monkeys half the time. you have to worry about ur own gameplay. this nunu helps his team by worrying only about what he's doing at that moment. just read... the flipping.. nvm one sec

"I compiled data over my last 10 wins and losses (to minimize the effects of correlation), which can be seen here (my na.op.gg is publicly available so anyone can feel free to audit this for accuracy):

As you can see I place more wards than most of the opponents' supports (and usually in more valuable, deep jungle locations), as well as serving as a kind of mobile ward myself. Quite frankly, I completely dominate neutral objectives, and the counts over my last 10 wins and losses were:

53 Dragons for my team vs 15 for the enemy team 18 Barons for my team vs 5 for the enemy team 11 Rift Heralds for my team vs 0 for the enemy team

How would this be possible if I was "failing to communicate"? The data just doesn't support that ridiculous claim. Further, the data shows that while my bot lane does tend to do worse than the enemy bot lane playing most of the games 1v2, they're on average only 5% behind on gold but the enemy jungler is 6% behind. My bot lanes also get solo experience, and my other solo lanes tend to overperform because their lane opponents have to defend against constant invades and they get ganked way less than they would under traditional play.

I've worked very hard to develop a strategy that's viable at high Elo with a champion that's mostly been forgotten, and Riot has essentially empowered people to reject it just because they don't want to try anything new."

i could upload the picture from the post but surely you read this right?

BladeSteel13 votes

I could upload a video from his twitch, but surely you can look it up for yourself right? watching a game tells you more than looking at the stats. "I put down more wards" were they actually in the game or did he spam wards at the end of the game in his base? Do you know? no you don't unless you WATCH.

ZURELL2 votes

you watched his whole stream?

BladeSteel7 votes

yes actually have you?

ZURELL2 votes

i dont have to i just look at his page. he plays ivern jg and nunu support. it's all there you dont have to waste ur time watching the whole damn stream lol

Raoul10 votes

Actually, it would tell you alot to watch some of his Nunu "Support" games. He doesnt carry any games with that, actually early and early-mid is hell for his team. If they manage to survive this phase, they get a little advantage because they have more farm since they had NO SUPPORT but 2 junglers, but until then, he literally kills the team. He wins 50+% true, but mostly because the enemy team is too stupid to abuse his trolling and just take the ADC out of the game. Against smart team, he and his "playstyle" loses. He literally plays a solo game and if his team isnt totaly killed by midgame, he gets an advantage. He has his solo player fun and his team goes through gaming hell!

ZURELL5 votes

if they focus on the adc he could just focus on the other side theyre leaving open. he didnt make it as far as he did being stupid neitehr did his opponents for that matter. you speculating and insulting the enemy teams intelligence doenst help the case u make against him

Raoul10 votes

Actually, I am not speculating, I watched some of the games he lost.

See what I did? I watched his gameplay before I made my decision if I should support him or not!

You should maybe do the same! But you wont, i know. Because you like to be the rebel to the evil villain RIOT who are just out to take your freedom...

ZURELL2 votes

watch teh whole thing. no i wont. i dont have to, to see what he did in the match its all on a website from ppl who recorded the data from his match. waste ur time pondering over the whole game play.

and i dont think riot is a villian. i actually think theyre on their way to a better quality of life. but then again i know riot (like most gaming companies) let their pride get in the way of their better judgement. instead of saying the real reason for why they banned him. they give one reason that's gets debunked and let the rest of the community speculate over why they think he deserved to be banned. all of them needless to say are just mixed with their own personal feelings and not the statistcis of how well he's been doing with one champion. you can watch all you want what does it really tell you other than exactly how he acquired his wins? most of the time he gets over 20+ assists in his games sometimes mroe than that.

so what is it exactly that stuck out to you in the actual stream that i couldnt get here on op.gg? i get the answers i want just like i would im sure watching the stream. my way is just quicker but ur source is more authentic becuz you watch the whole game right? football statistics are pointless becuz it's not the actuall game? i might sympathize with that but i just dont.

but ok discredit me becuz i DONT NEED to watch his whole stream in order to come up with my conclusion. u dont like THEY WAY he played as the result he got by doing so. lol

Traakin14 votes

Yeah tbh I am surprised by how many people didn't just look up his playstyle themselves. Basically they took what the Nunu said as nothing but fact and jumped on the riot enforces meta bandwagon.

BladeSteel10 votes

99% of them would have reported him too if he was on their team. They are all pretty much hypocrites. Ask anyone ANYONE who plays adc or are forced into it b/c of autofill if they want to 1v2 all game, and tell me how that goes.

Glory ln Death6 votes

I wouldn't call them hypocrites, they're just too lazy to find out for themselves by watching his games. It's just part of the culture today, where people just accept whatever is placed in front of them as truth, without bothering to do any research on their own.

ZURELL3 votes

no sweetheart i look at the numbers. unless he's paying op.gg off and making himself look good i dton think he could credibly lie without refute at this point. no one can really especially a streamer

Traakin7 votes

since you are a man of recent statistics, maybe you will find these interesting. in the last 20 games, Nunu had a 42% winrate. so.

53 Dragons for my team vs 15 for the enemy team 18 Barons for my team vs 5 for the enemy team 11 Rift Heralds for my team vs 0 for the enemy team

still netted more losses than wins. apparently neutral objectives arent as important as towers, inhibs, and nexus. yikes.

ZURELL2 votes

and those losses are all his fault?

you have a even lower winrate than his on all ur champs playing different ones lol

Traakin9 votes

you're the one who is throwing winrate around like it has weight. I will counter with, you think his team wins because of him?

ZURELL2 votes

you think they lose because him? league is still a team game. ur just ganging up one guys becuz of his pick. you play worse with more of a champ pool

Traakin11 votes

wut? nunu was my main support before all this happened. I dont have a big champ pool yet. Ive never been reported for it either. I have no problem with his champ or summoners, my problem is his strategy involves checking out of the team aspect of the game and doing his own thing regardless of what is happening in game. he himself admits this in his videos and in his FAQ. he is going to do exactly the same thing every game. at this point you are either baiting or trolling. not even sure which at this point. well played.

Traakin7 votes

yes checking out and not communicating with teammate is why he was banned aka his strategy aka his play style. not his champion select or summoners.
