Why Janna and Kha'zix are OP?

Janna was nerfed. None(Someone play her I know) play her for X month, and now its one of best support? Kha'zix too. This game is so weird. Title, pls I wanna know why. (because someone play them at WCS isn't a answer)

Add: In reddit, I got a good answer, and now I understand:

Riot buffs like the hell adc + first 7m turret cannot be destroyed(It can't but I never see it)=> Adc late game become popolar(Kog'maw, Tristana)=> Assassin one-target returns(Syndra, Zed, Fizz, Ahri) & Maokai=>Janna 's ult is OP like the hell. Zilean too. Zilean is permabanned because his passive. (Sololaner takes level 2 in one wave) Right?

the chinese region tend to play champs that recently got nerfed and play them in a way that they are good. For instance in worlds one of the supports would flash behind a enemy as janna and would then ult them into teammates for a kill. Same with rengar, they play him in a way that makes him feel good.

The meta right now seems to revolve around effective rotations and objective control; Janna is very strong at disengaging (probably the best support, since her Q is so potent for closing off sections of the map and is on a pretty low cooldown), which allows her team to rotate around particular areas of the map (works especially well because of her passive) while denying the enemies ability to dive or engage.

Kha'Zix basically found another way to be strong; before he was doing ridiculous single target damage with his Q, also he was basically a tank with his ult, so those were nerfed and W buffed so that he wouldn't be hit too hard. Now people max and evolve W which allows him to poke a target down and then jump on them and kill them anyways.

I can't really speak for Kha'Zix as I've never really played against him often or with him either.

As for Janna, she's such a popular and powerful pick in this meta out of every support in this meta none of them have as much disengage utility as she does. Wanna split push? Well Janna's Q will allow your split pusher to go take a tower while preventing the enemy team from engaging on a 4v5. She also makes champion that need a lot of protection to do well (like Kog'Maw) really safe thanks to her passive and disengaging abilities.

Janna is just like Orianna in which that she has always been strong. It's just that she will fall out of meta for no apparent reasons but will rise in power from time to time similar to Orianna. If Riot really wants to do something about her then they will want to hit either her cooldowns at 40% CDR or her Ult. I think the safest choice would be to hit her ultimate to not make it the "ultimate disengage" earlier in the levels by lowering the knockback distance similar to Tristana.

On Kha'zix, I really don't know what Riot was thinking with him. He was fine when before they made the W and R changes that made him very strong. Did Kha'zix really need to not give up his personal isolated slow for an AOE slow to a safe consistent AOE slow that doesn't cost him anything? Did his stealth needed to be changed to a longer stealth to where its strong in duels if he is ahead? His shorter but spammable stealth was more healthy as it gave a better chance of engaging him if he was doing average or ahead.

Don't really, Janna isn't always strong. Nami and Thresh are always strong. You have right about ult, only supp who has a real disengage.

High end strat currently evolves around the ADC. He deals a ton of damage.

Janna provides 5% MS, a massive shield and 50AD to said ADC. Pretty good pick when the strat revolves around them.

Kha exists for the same reason as Ahri, Syndra and other single target assassins. To get said ADC and wipe them out before the team can react.

Of course, not many of those assassins can exist in the jungle (The odd Rengar pick comes through).

Kha'zix returns because he is one-target assassin. I feel like he didn't deal so much damage, but I understand.
