So OP's post is out in left field, I dont agree with attacking them on completely irrelevant topics. However THERE IS A PROBLEM, and its affecting about 25% of the player base. Riot, wake up.
So to provide everyone with a slight update to this problem. Its in regards to problems with their DNS settings. The DNS settings and the IP Address's are dropping packets in communication causing about 2 second lag and then "Attempting to reconnect". I'm in the middle of a support ticket with exactly this problem, at first I thought it was in regards to ward jumping, now I find it's if you are sending too many commands at once( button mashing/pacing back and forth at the same time).
I've currently run about 6 network tests and forwarded my information to the Riot tech team and they are working with me to correct the problem. I'll reply with their analysis once the ticket is complete. Please note that my solution may not be yours so don't flame my response on said "Solution".
Plz here me out, I got banned 6 days because of lag. Literally EVERY single match ive left was due to lag. I couldnt last more than 2 mins withouy dcing and forcing to leave the game and reconnecting until i eventually started just leaving the game completely once i got fed up. Now im paying the price of not doing anything. Gj riot.
Yea the attempting to reconnect is game breaking having to restart client they are blaming it on packet loss even though I do not lose packets
every single one the these threads I've noticed gets deleted from the boards. and its extremely frustrating because I've been having this problem for a month now. i love this game and id hate to leave it just because no one from riot even responds to these threads.
These 3 days I've been disconnecting in every single game and my internet was surely FINE. RIOT do you even notice the problem at all?!?!!

Server problems? Ehhh just ignore them they will stop. Server problems? Ehh we can rig them to stay online for a few days before they die again.
Fixing problems would actually be nice, we have had server issues for MONTHS now.
Does anyone know if quitting a game and reconnecting counts against your leave buster record? I received a 1 day suspension today (I did quit a game because of irl issues, but I can't remember the last time I ever did this) but I've been quitting and reconnecting a lot because of this bug.
Yeah... here is a video of it happening. Requires quitting and reconnecting to rejoin because the auto-reconnect feature will never successfully reconnect. As you can see despite not actually being disconnected, despite what the game thinks, you can see the game playing out just fine until you decide to quit the match. im glad to see that im not the only one with this problem. i opened my support ticket 16 days ago(soon 17) and haven received a response for 14 days. i submitted all the dumb info they asked for. i lost out on end of season rewards and lost 2 ranked games because of this sht. ive given up on LOL for the last time and am working on lvling in SMITE. i only really go on here to btch now XD
RIOT needs to refund the money spent on skins(etc) for those who physically cant play the game or get support. highway robbery
I'm having the same problem. The servers and client have been unstable for over a year now, I've stopped spending any money on this game. It's always everybody else's fault even though they're the only common link.
Back from my 1 week ban now due to this. I have to do a custom game b4 I play everytime now, but this problem happens randomly so it's hard to know if it will. I play with my fingers crossed now
I had to delete the logitech .DLLs from the location where the game is installed, or my game would crash repeatedly and I would get the attempting to reconnect message. If you delete the files once, they will come back every time the game updates, so you have to keep deleting them. Give it a shot and see if it solves your problem.
That said, I do lag out hardcore for no reason in a lot of teamfights even though I have no problems for the entire game *except *the teamfights (my ping stays at 110 ms, so it isn't that), so this isn't a fix for everything.
Constantly DCing 5+ times a match now. I've pretty much given up playing the game and have just moved on to something else. How am I supposed to play when I just randomly DC in the middle of a fight and have to watch myself die every time? This isn't fun for me, or my team.**
If I keep playing, i'll get leaverbustered and banned, but if I play, my team will just report me for constantly DCing and then i'll just get banned anyway. I'm at a lose/lose situation here.

okay this is going to sound stupid. but do there games have more difficulty running on AMD processors? none of my buddies are having this disconnection issue and the only difference between any of us is that i'm the only one that runs AMD. and since no one has apparently discovered why this is happening i just decided to throw this in. is anyone from this forum running on an INTEL processor
The fact that this is still an issue enrages me beyond what is even reasonable. What the FUCK are you doing, Riot? Fix this. This is ruining the event mode.

I'm going to add to this thread also, because I just got attempting to reconnect in a game I was playing, and had to exit and re-enter the game to fix it.
In addition to this, after I got out of a game, apparently I wasn't connected to the server and could not requeue.
Earlier today, I would have MASSIVE chunks of lag, which is something that has never happened before.

Same troll comments when Riot servers go down. They have been fine for weeks. Fine. Then when shit hits the fan, "you don't care for your gamers, you suck, fix your shit, noob," etc. Gotten so frequent that I have learned to let the children be children.

I thought the problem would be solved after they announced that ping spikes and lag had been affected people for weeks yesterday and shut down the server or w/e. But today during a ranked game, I dc in the first 3 mins of the game and when I try to reconnect, I get to the loading screen get to 100 %, but get kicked back to the reconnect screen on the client instantly, I reconnect again and same thing happens. After 3 tries I finally get in game, only to have the game be 0-3 and a squishy lvl 2 support against a tanky lvl 5 Leona and Graves in lane and ofc we lose. Seriously, if they're going to shut down the server due to a problem, why don't they ACTUALLY fix it, or rather give us a response instead of completely ignoring all server related problems.
