I just played a match that was not even close..
My team has two unranked, and are playing their champions for the FIRST TIME. In the mean time, most of their team is in series.. how rude is Riot for giving me this game? btw: we lost like 0-999999
The Storm Dragon3 voteslol. I expected this to actually be bad. I had a game about a week ago where the enemy team had a Master tier and two diamonds. Our highest player was gold 3, and we had someone who was level 27 on our side.

Zaikyo2 votesI'm curious, do you think unranked players should only be in in games with other unranked players? I'm just trying to figure out what you're suggesting. Matchmaking is based upon MMR, and though you may not agree, those players are in their placements which currently has them at your MMR.
I know players think they should never be matched with someone unranked, and that if they're in a promotion series that they should only play with people also in a promotion series. Sounds real great to just dream about it. Let's not consider if it's possible though.

That's working as intended: it is a team game after all. But by the same token, you can't tell someone who was horribly matched that they, personally, did badly.
yapa1 votesThis game was bull... It was ranked, just after I made Silver II, and we get two unranked on our team against people who have been rocking the ranked scene for far too long. You can't carry dead weight! 
Junkο1 votesEh yesterday i got matched against a diamond, plat and 2 golds and a level 16, our team was 2 golds and everybody else below level 30 unranked.

kDrakari1 votesWell, first off the matchmaker can't predict whether players will pick champions for the first time, and when going for placement I'm pretty sure the matchmaker puts people against a wide variety of ranks to more accurately assess their relative skill. It does seem pretty weird to have 3 people on one team with a combined total of 9 ranked wins, while the enemy team's bottom 3 had 179.
