I've been taking a break from LoL as a whole for a while, mainly because I just could not tolerate this season for very long. However, once I saw my girl Poppy got her update, I was so excited that I needed to play her asap. However... http://imgur.com/7UZzXpZ This is starting to get depressing.

I checked out Gracelands guide on LoLking and decided to just mimic his one runepage and leaving much else to personal tastes. 9 AD reds 9 Armor yellows 9 MR per level blues 1 AD mark 2 AS quints (I ended up liking how smooth it made her last hitting, so I decided to keep it going.) Masteries are either a tanky 12/0/18 whenever the matchup is vs ranged, or a very bad matchup, or an aggressive 12/18/0 otherwise.

The problem seems to lie past the laning phase. I can USUALLY handle myself just fine, last hitting is rough but thats something to work on. However, when it comes to teamfighting, I just don't know what to do. I hate the fact her ult knocks the enemy AWAY from my team and I can find very few uses for it other than getting ganked or a teamfight gone wrong. Typically I'm almost always doing well up until teamfighting, after that point, the death counts rack up and I can't much, or nothing at all.

Builds are another rough area I'm having. I'm juggling between either doing Frozen mallet+ BC, or the classic Trinity force+ other tanky items. I've noticed I'm doing a lot better with the FM+BC than I am with Tri force, so I'll probably try sticking to that, but past that, I'm lost. If magic damage runs rampid, I'll take a banshee's and a Maw, but I really don't know if thats effective enough.

If theres any really great Poppy players out there that can give me a tip or six, that would be awesome.

You should try your best to use your ult to force the enemy team to fight at a disadvantage, if you can knock 2 or even just 1 of them away, it automatically becomes an unfair fight for the other team

I've been having a ton of success lately with Poppy, she's not played like a 1-shot carry anymore and there's more more to her kit now.

I just run a standard AD rune page for Poppy

x9 Atk Marks x9 Armor Seals x9 MR Glyphs x3 Atk Marks

I feel like attack speed isn't nessecary for Poppy and I last hit just fine without it, you're more focused on your E-Q combo burst and because of the cdr Poppy will be getting from items your abilities will be up more often.

Masteries

12/0/18 Fury>Double Edged Sword>Vampirism>Oppressor Unyielding>Tough Skin>Veteran's Scars>Perseverance>Legendary Guardian>Grasp of the Undying

Standard for all AD bruisers, you can also run 12/18/0 with Thunderlord's Decree but I think the first is more Ideal for tankiness

Standard build: item 3047 or item 3111 item 3071 item 3025 item 3742 item 3065 item 3053

Optional: item 3143 item 3156 item 3078 item 3748 item 3110

You're wrong about it having other uses you just haven't found it yet.Like JBels said you can knock away enemies from the fight to have an advantage in numbers. Let me tell you a trick, when you're close to the enemy and charge ult for 1 seconds and let it go enemies don't get knocked back they get knocked up and deal damage. That is how I use it in lane and for team fights sometimes, if enemies are all huddle up you can E to a minion to gain distance then ult immediately and let it go and all enemies should be knocked up as if Malphite ulted. It is risky to pull off though but if you do you can win the team a fight, also keep an eye out of carries next to a wall so you can stun them and burst and ult thee other enemies away that's another way you can do something in a team fight.
