Yorick Buffs on PBE!?!

There are some amazing Quality of Life Buffs to Yorick. For anyone who doesn't know, heres a short break down:

His passive lets him spawn ghouls whenever a certain number of minions die near him. Previously, you could never get enough graves if your team instantly nucked a wave, making grouping a non-option. However, now your get a grave every 2 deaths near you, meaning 1 minion wave lets you spawn you Mist walkers. You can actually group now!!! Plus mist walkers don't lose their damage when away from yorick now, meaning that if you send hte maiden down a lane on her own, they will rip appart waves and start pressuring a tower much faster than before!!!

Also now they have given greater control over the maiden AI. Before, summoning her meant that you lost her as she blindly moved down a lane and into a tower. Now she wont leave you instantly, meaning you can theoretically keep her around a lot longer than before, extending that power lead she offers over more than a short hickup of time. Plus they buffed the duo's damage together so thats a thing too.

Also they increased E slow. Which is nice since you cant go under tower with you ghouls anymore, and it helps with surviving in an extended lane.

Overal, supper happy about these changes and buffs!!! I hope that the increased AI control and Usefulness will help more at high elo and for people who main the champion. Im worried about low elo abuse again, but these buffs seem to be more about CONTROL and not about DAMAGE, something historically better tied to High elo. Why would you group? Your team fight is weak, you're better off in a side lane hitting towers.

Maiden is now going to stick around for less time than before if you summon her in any case other than all in during lane phase. Source for damage buffs plz, everything I've seen suggests damage nerfs. Though if they did remove the CD on %hp proc that's a massive buff. Titanic every game.

  • Fewer graves is gonna be massive as Yorick can now get Ghouls up more often.
  • Ghouls and maiden are gonna keep their power going down the lane.
  • Maiden feels like a proper summon ult. She's gonna stick with you until you release her or time's up, so you can't have her around forever.
  • Maiden mark is gone, meaning you're damage is gonna be insane fighting the same target.

That's what I like about Yorick. He's so well designed that it's only the QoL buffs that are needed on him.

Did they fucking remove the two seconds cooldown on the maiden's enhanced auto? what

Very interesting changes. Nice to see some time was put into Yorick. Personal thoughts:

  • Removing the 2 second cooldown from Yorick attacking Maiden's target is a huge buff. The attack speed from Triforce will be put to great use.

  • Maiden health change breaks even at 800/1000/2000 total health.

  • Raising the slow on E makes it possibly worth maxing second. Also, it will in general make Yorick harder to kite and more useful when grouped, which is good for high elo.
