Yet I just lost two matches in a row with him after my placements. From my understanding he is a split pusher. Well last game I tried that and three kept coming top while my team fucked around all game not pushing towers.

Anyone have any suggestions.

He's a splitpusher, but if you go full on tryndamere on him, you aren't going to have much success against a coordinated team. Build some mobility on him (relentless hunter or deadman's plate) set up some ghouls and roam the jungle some. You'll probably snag a few kills on squishy champs and you'll be a lot harder to pin down if they don't want to come near your lane. I main him in the jungle. He's got all the tools to stay hidden and gank hard, and then he has the damage to push down a tower. Even if you want to play him toplane you have to think like a jungler and be flexible about where you go.

Focus on finding your own mistakes instead of your allies'. Don't let individual recent matches determine your entire view of the game, the picture is way bigger than that. Stick to a small pool of champions you like and find success with instead of hopping around just because someone told you a champion was meta or a statistical site showed a small bump of a couple percentage points.

I usually play veigar top. But I used to play yorick after they first reworked him. Anyone know how I should play games with this champ?

The number 1 way to climb regardless of champion or role is learn how to micromanage your team as you play. It is easiest to do from a less conflict-oriented role like support or jungle, but knowing how to do so in any role makes games so much easier.

Split pushing does NOT mean running down a lane until you die. That is not how you split. You need to work on your map awareness. You can expect your team to take a tower or something after you die if they're not in a position to do so. You don't want to die. If 3 enemies are missing off the map, back off. It's not your team's fault you died because you were blind shoving down a lane and got caught
