Why Are We Complaining About Nasus And Not Vladimir?

s7 Middle Vladimir build guides, counters, guide, pro builds, masteries, stats - Champions - League of Legends

Let's discuss why he is broken and needs a nerf. -Manaless harass that is on click, heals Vladimir, and has high base damage when empowered. -Enforces unhealthy no interaction laning playstyle. -Has a built in Zhonya to make killing him in laning impossible. -Gets ap by building hp and gets hp by building ap, giving him tankiness and damage. -Scales infinitely with Overgrowth. -Good burst throughout the whole game. -Cancer spreader. -Top 5 highest win rates in mid for the last 3 patches. What I propose: Nerf his Q damage or make it generate minion aggro, make his ult not amplify damage, and/or make his W or E cost more health. Also make his W less of a get-out-of-jail-free card and make it have a more meaningful impact.

never seen vlad oneshot either or slow someone down with 95% for 5 seconds :/

truth is all tanks are op atm like how all assassins are op atm, what are also op are sustain and overal defence of fighters/marksmen.

vlad is less of an issue than nasus though, you can counter him with malzahar or fiddlesticks.

He is very strong in the lane phase but really drops off after. Let me address your points.

  • his q is really awesome. But he's also over reliant on it to stay alive. There is skill in timing it's empowerment and harassing. It's pretty easy for someone to just back away while it's empowered forcing him to use it on a minion, especially because you can see it charging.

  • his w isn't a real get out of jail card. It costs a good chunk of health to cast and because that's % based, the healthier he is the more it costs, the weaker he is coming out of it. It's very easy for someone to just follow and wait for him to pop up when it ends and take him out. Honestly his w works better as an engage to lane his e than as a disengage to run away.

  • yeah he gets to be a tanky mage, but this also limits his item build. Its almost guaranteed to look like item 3116 item 3151 item 3152 item 3089 and then filler. Maybe item 3065 or item 3102 depending on the game. You can't go full tank because health doesn't grant that much ap from his passive but not many ap items offer meaningful health bonus without wasting gold on mana buffs.

  • overgrowth is a joke. It's revitalize that's the real deal (bonus 2000+ healing vs bonus 300 health? Sign me up).

  • yeah he's got burst. But not many ways to stay afloat in a team fight. He'll hit once hard and you can usually dodge it or let minions take the damage for you then it's open season to get him back, especially since he'll be low on health just from casting at you. Definitely needs teammates around to help him peel or to set up his combo (which has a decent cool down time as well)

  • top 5 winrate? Well I cant argue with results.

Honestly I think a more meaningful change to him would be to require an extra stack on his q before it becomes empowred. It would feel less spammy.

If you're going to increase the health cost of his w then the move speed bonus on it should go up as well.

Nobody runs overgrowth on vlad its terrible, his pool is not a zhonyas you can still die while using it, and whilst his passive will grant him a decent amount of hp mid to late game the amount of ap you gain from hp is laughable.
