Gotta love playing support/being a support main

Especially when the rest of your team is making bad decisions, then flames you for not helping them when you know they're not going to win those fights or those decision aren't going to go well. Don't get me wrong I love this position and it has it's perks, but you have no right to flame a support for your bad decision making. We cannot save you if you make a stupid play, and that's your fault not ours. This makes me so tilted when it happens and when I see some of the plays people make it just makes me go [zombie-brand-mindblown]

the hardest part about being a good support (that took me 3 years to master) is when to realize my ally is dead... and not go in and try to save them and get myself killed as well.

you have NO IDEA how hard it is to stop yourself from trying to save them...

but yeah.. i have had my team who was 15 kill behind try to force a 4v5 fight and ask.. "why am i splitpushing as support Morgana "

and im like... because im taking the free objective and im not going to force a fight when we are absurdly behind.

and they like "we would have won if you were there"

LOL RIGHT... just like you won the last 3 times we fought and got aced that GAVE them the 15 kill lead... besides we have a splitpush comp , with a with a Nasus top and a jungle Tryndamere

but noo they have to try to force every damn fight

I don't know how support mains do it. You sign up to be a side kick, and people take a dump on you for their poor decisions.

I sometimes let people die I can save.

Why?

Because either I waste my time spending the entire game babysitting them, or I shock them with the realization that maybe they should watch the map / stop overextending / not try to 1v3 and other basic things.

Often, also, no offense to non-supports. But sometimes my continued presence on the map is more valuable than yours. (for example, enemy team would dive my LIVING adc, but won't dive me)

I had an Ezreal ask me why I ran away instead of pursuing a guy at 1/4 health while 3 enemies were between me and him. I was like "because all my stuff is on cooldown and I wouldn't have killed him." He said I should have AAd, on Nami, whose AAs do very little.

No one should have the right to flame ANYONE for their bad decisions.

Actually part of what I like about support compared to other roles is sometimes we can save them when they make stupid plays. Not always, but sometimes.

Often times they're doomed, but compared to other roles sometimes I could begrudingly flash in and shield/disengage/exhaust/etc and prevent them from dying. It's usually frustrating since more often then not theres no reason they should have been in a position to die in the first place and they're essentially just 'wasting' my summs on top of theirs, but at the end of the day preventing an enemy from getting fed due to a monkey teammate can make the difference in letting an actually (relatively) competent teammate get big.

HAVE YOU TRIED WARDING?

Friendly Ram3/17/2018, 12:07:55 PM2 votes

Yep. My latest experience with that was a kersai mid who kept on spam pinging me to go away when i rotated with their leona then qqd when she face checked bushes.

"Bad ADCs will die, good ADCs will carry"- my motto,if I have a Vayne who's yolo i to the enemy team, I rather shift my focus to the teammate who's doing the best.

The moment adc goes like "omg ks" i enable afk mode.

funny thing: I've been playing "fill" recently, and it gives me jungle about twice as often as support.

blaming support is an old stale meme

now you blame jungler

Can't save your teammates from their worst enemy: themselves.

Krigjer3/17/2018, 7:36:50 PM1 votes

I've developed a very 'You go ahead and think that sweetheart' mindset whenever someone wants to flame me for their obvious mistakes.

0 fucks given these days. I did my job; I can't force you to do yours.

Why I wish I could physically give my entire team shock collars.

They are probably salty that you are not making those sick plays as a support like Bard ulting a Rengar when he jumps out from his ultimate, or just generally speaking playing Janna and allowing your team to ignore the enemy team.

AetherArising3/18/2018, 12:37:49 AM1 votes

Man, as a Jg main and occasional support when the team needs it, jesus christ, league is just one big blame-game of tops and mids and adcs trying to excuse horrible plays left and right and pin it on either the supp or jg.

can't stand up for whoever is getting ganged on anyways because fuck logic let's punish people for having basic human decency..

Playing Support in solo queue feels pretty bad unless you are one of "those" supports who just spams brand and actually builds straight mage and not even a sight stone (And that feels pretty dumb).

Your adc sucks? Whelp enjoy walking in circles for 10 minutes, maybe poking a bit. Your adc suddenly with a full item down wants to just rando go aggro at half health. Whelp, that's your fault they died somehow.

It gets pretty tilting unless you have ridiculous base damage as said support, or the rest of your team is good and you can say eff it and just roam. It went from supports having a LOT of control of games in 2017 to feeling like I have way less outside of very specific cases, and I just cringe when autofill is active, and I MAIN support so...
