My thoughts about the new ranked changes

I really like having a rank per position I play, this allows me to learn new roles in a more competitive environment without having to go into flex where you can queue solo but the more organized team is going to win. It's great as well as it doesn't hurt the ranking of the primary role I want to play since support can be a coin flip anyways it allows me to learn more carry oriented roles without the pressure of hurting my rank of support play.

Where they put the inbetween rank I think needs to change for low elo, I think the biggest discrepancy for where skill gaps are is silver especially since that's where a lot of new players get put when doing their placement matches and when those matches are over. I've been in bronze before and honestly unless you're talking bronze 5 and something like bronze 2 the skill gap isn't really that large as to where silver the difference between a S5 and a S2 is huge

This has weird implications for autofil, because honestly it seems like they're going to get rid of autofil all together to ensure you play the positions you specifically queue into (unless when you get autofilled it only affects the rank you get autofilled into). I could be wrong about this, but I'm not designing it so I have no clue how this will affect ranked queue times or autofill whatsoever
Overall I think it's a somewhat good change although I think execution of these ideas is what will make or break the system, this could turn out horribly and everybody wants the S7/S8 solo q back, but I think this will be an opportunity for players to expand their game knowledge of other lanes, potentially making them better players all together. As well I like the idea of splitting the season up, so that way if your performance during one part of the season isn't as great as the other two it doesn't hold you back the rest of the season.
