I find it really annoying I have to guess exactly how far my vision ward is going to discover enemy wards. I think Riot placing sight around when you drop one would help a great deal for better understanding of exactly how much true vision it will and give, definitely a smaller update but it really bugs me

Maybe not a ring around that shows in game - but perhaps when you lay it down it has the ring that shows how big it's range is... kind of like an AOE ability or something? dunno.
But towers and sightstones have very different roles lol. The OP is asking to give warding clarity - not to create a tower buff that will prevent accidental tower dives.

Terchio2 votesI don't think so. Sight of range of turrets is already given... in the tutorial maps. I can feel the butthurt. Griefer is basically equating it with another aid that is considered "noob only".
Edit: That said... Maybe ward sight range in bot games? Those might have tower sight range given, too, I forget, but the clarity would certainly be an aid to players trying to build their skill levels through them...

Terchio1 votesFirst off, those wards also see True Sight in a particular range that's somewhat visible, but can be extended into Fog of War areas if you have sight of that area (so, for instance, a Vision Ward outside the brush can see a Sight Ward inside the brush if you're inside that brush, and that Sight Ward is in the Vision Ward's range). That range where it sees out into Fog of War areas is what this thread is about.
And as far as the butthurt goes, it takes knowledge of the fact that a low-level playing area has that capability. The phrase has a similar flavor to this exchange:
"So, you want to go bowling?" "Yeah, I could use a break from riding my stroller around!"
You see, guy number 2 did not actually want to bowl, though he, in fact, said he did. He also did not get back from riding his stroller around. He just... kinda... didn't mean a word of it, and compared it to a scenario neither of the two wanted to be in.

Dracobalt2 votesThink it would be a good idea to show range after clicking a ward and before placing it. At least this way we can get used to the range and understand how far it will see later on. They have the ring around turrets in customs don't they? They say custom games are supposed to help you learn and were left on custom game turrets for that reason. So if anything...at least give us the rings for custom games? would also helps us learn more "optimal" places to put wards since we would see how much vision they grant through the rings.

What Is Smite1 votesIf you're asking for a QoL for vision then maybe look at the MOBA Smite and their ward system, it tells you how far you can place the ward and what the vision range of the ward is too
