Can someone please explain Tank Yasuo
I have not gone against it and I would like to know how to counter it if I ever do see someone building it. I usually only see the regular Yasuo builds. Thanks.

"tank" yasuo is a variant build commonly known as Frozen Force. Its two core items are Trinity Force and Frozen Mallet, which along with Fervor of Battle and high attack speed runes, let Yasuo go on to build tanky while still dealing reasonable damage. Mostly, it raises your survivability and exploits the current state of bruiser items to deal more damage than riot is comfortable with, given his hardiness.
Thank you for the explanation, are there any ways to counter it? Maybe different items? Or is it unbelievably broken to the point of no counterplay?
can be nice due to his kite if you match
's
, as well as his hyper. Also his mega has enough CC to lock down
and kill him, especially in a 2v1 situation.
Thanks for the advice! Really appreciate the help!
Ehhh, gnar into Yasuo is a risky matchup. Yasuo very easily negates all of mini Gnar's damage and can also jump on him without the slightest bit of effort. As Mega Gnar, you have much more significant burst, but Yasuo's almost too slippery to try and fight in that state.
A better counter would be Jax or Irelia, maybe renekton or a juggernaut. Yasuo loses 1v1 melee matchups pretty easily.
is also a viable option, Yasuo players tend to have very split-second reactions and a good Zed player can end up confusing them and shredding them with armour pen using his buildpath.
To help replace mid lane to compensate for Zed coming top
is a greta option for a tanky AP mage.
Yasuo v. Zed has always been a skill matchup. Yeah, it favors Zed post-6, but it's still a not a reliable counter, especially since the Yasuo will be building tankier than normal.
Tank builds mean nothing with this build:
or
Thing is this is his natural build, so buildwise he has Yasuo beat post-6.
There are several issues to address here. At full build, FF Yasuo can take a lot of damage, so I'm not sure zed's full build could 100 to 0 it, not that it matters much because zed ought to be ulting the mid or carry during a team fight, not the enemy top laner. The laning phase will still be a skill matchup regardless and the OP asked for a counter. Furthermore, having Zed top creates a multitude of problems by itself.
Don't try to counter top FF Yasuo with a zed, it isn't a good idea.

Say that with variant builds to the 'Tank Yasuo build' which still lets him retain his Critical power such as Phantom Dancer and sometimes making use of items such as Deadman's plate to utterly turn him into some insanely mobile hit and run massacre beefie champion who will be able to easily feast and barely any famine at all to enemies where its snowballed far enough to where its nearly impossible for people to recover in regular matches because they were left with some people being underfed while attempting to shut down the Yasuo only to constantly be denied the ability to even hit him with a CC, even letting the yasuo's team's jungler get enough free roam power to easily eat other lanes with little harass chance from the enemy jungler to help feed lanes or gank the other lanes. Since Yasuo is running too rampant with ease.
Just like with the scummie 'twitch jungle plays', Yasuo gets to have just as scummy plays that will put you in a near impossible to react window before you get blasted for high amounts of damage and utterly make it difficult for you have any chance of having a fair trade fight in the lane since he can easily run with fair ease and easily wrek you with fair ease'ness, basically like going against a Zed except he has no resource bar to work off of and more defense measures to ruin your chances of being able to keep the lane even and not you constantly be stuck under turret.
Hell they should really make Yasuo's Q Tornado get a longer wind up time or maybe move slow at first and pick up speed gradually while traveling to allow better chance of being able to dodge and further push Yasuo to what he should be: "A champion who requires a high amount of skill to actually play, not some easy free mauling champion."

You just build to kill him, like you would any other bruiser. Just understand that he will almost always take at least one of your allies with him when he builds tanky.
Cancer
Well isn't that basically half of the meta champions.
