Hmm.....

I was playing a game yesterday as Kalista with Alistar, Zed, Irelia and Sion (So a pretty mobile team) against a team of Caitlynn, Brand, Morgana, Warwick, and Nasus. Me and my friend were duoing bot lane and we were in a skype call. We managed to get pretty fed off of their Brand support and Caitlynn simply because I'd dodge every one of their skill shots in a fight. I managed to get a 1v5 penta kill against them after they burned WW ult and the little cc they had on my Zed. It was then that it hit me just how strong Kalista's passive was. And sure I was pretty fed, but theres still no reason I should be able to kite around 5 members of there team and kill everyone of them.

The whole game I witnessed us misplaying things, for instance: For some reason my ult didnt work half the time and Alistar went the wrong way 4/5 times (I was in a call with him and he was getting pretty frustrated about it), Alistar missed 4 of his combos and knocked back enemies more than he knocked them up. Zed would ult someone with Zhonyas, Brand and cait would get a pick on someone roaming through their jungle, Sion would miss his ults plenty etc. But we still crushed them. Every team fight came out with us WAY AHEAD. Now, I'm not a rocket scientist, but I don't have to be to notice that the only difference between the two of our teams was that our team was way more mobile. Something needs to change before teams like mine (except instead of Sion lets have a Lee Sin or a Vi or Khazix) are the only teams that win.

Honestly, I don't think it was just mobility here. I mean, if you look at your champions classes, your team is perfect whereas their's is...less than so.

Between Sion, Irelia, and Alistar, your frontline is godly for almost any situation. Their frontline between WW and Nasus is not only smaller, but entirely offensive. Nasus is a raid boss, not a defensive tank, and WW is a drain tank with limited CC past his Ultimate. If Nasus or WW got fed, something entirely different may have happened and their team could have stomped you, but by the sounds of it, you were snowballing much harder and faster than them, meaning that Nasus and WW will fail to be useful upon the mid game team fights unless they play perfectly (and since they apparently overcommitted to killing Zed, I'm going to assume they didn't).

I'd also like to point out the synergy between your teammates and theirs. With such a powerful frontline, champions who can weave in and out of a fight like a Zed or Kalista are literally perfect for the team. If something goes wrong, you two can just run away while Sion or Alistar holds the enemy team back from killing you. So long as you or Zed aren't caught by WW while you're overextended, there's almost no way for you guys to fail a full team fight on even ground. On the other hand, between Morgana, Brand, and Cait, their strengths do so little to complement their frontline. What their team needed was significant disengage/pick potential to lock individuals down and get Nasus/WW to start wailing away on them. Other than Morgana, their team is extremely lacking in this pick potential unless somebody was retarded enough to walk over a cupcake immediately before a team fight or are unable to react to Brand's over telegraphed combos.

There's almost no way for these guys to win team fights unless Nasus/WW are already fed. Can I assume they weren't?

Look into your opponents before posting this.....

None of your opponents are level 30. You are silver 3. The experience in itself is a big difference.

Their Cait and Brand didn't even have full sets of runes.

I can agree that your team comp is good, but Look into your opponents to see that there might be more of a difference in skill than team comp :)

In my personal experience, team comps doesn't really matter until mid- high silver (where you currently are, and possibly why you were considering that).

Eh, mobility is good, it's strong and reliable, but it's hardly the game winning aspect. You say they were missing skill shots despite your team making lots of mistakes. This tells me they didn't know their skill shots. I'm guessing you do know yours and was able to hit a good many of them, so you can understand what I mean here.

Also take notice of the synergy of your team and the lack of synergy on their team. That makes a big difference. Many people like mobility due to it being safe and reliable. Meanwhile skill shots and especially hard CC are only as strong as the player who can land them.
