Whenever someone says,"It's just normals" makes me wish that they never found out about league. People like me try to get better at normals where you can test you skill at your champions and see if you're ready to play ranked yet. When people feed and say ITS JUST NORMALS LEL makes me so angry. I've lost 20 games as riven over the past 2 days because the jungler doesn't know when or how to get objectives, doesn't know how to focus, bot lane feeds, while I'm top or mid getting camped by Top and JG because I'm usually the one that has any sort of lead, even if small. So next time you're about to say ITS JUST NORMALS, please remember the people you just let down. Normals isn't an outlet to troll, the outlet to troll is COD
Those people don't know the difference between playing a normal to try something different with little to no consequence (unlike ranked), and playing a normal just to troll and not give a single shit.
My advice: ignore and possibly mute if they're too toxic. Punishments probably aren't going to change their flawed mentality
The phrase "its just normals, who cares?" totally irks me. If you were in any sort of league match where you "didn't care", you'd probably be in bots or ARAMs (and not even ARAMs all the time, those are pretty intense and a lot of people care about winning those) as bots are really where you can "not care" and still do well. There is a reason why normal-game stats are recorded and bots aren't.
Players that go into a game with that attitude are pointless & rude, its better to just mute/ignore them and focus on trying to win
Now realize when reading this suggestion, it is not going to 100% going to solve the problem. Trolls are going to troll and dumbasses are going to be dumbasses.
I think we all want the same thing here. We all want to play how we want when, we want right? the frustration and argument here is where to do that. Right now there just isn't a clearly specified place to do that. Add another mode/tier. Bots, casual, normal and ranked.
ranked stays the same obviously, ranked. serious play where you are expected to have a mid to high degree of gameplay competence. play to win. expect to be shit on for playing like a dumbass or off meta.
bots stays the same. very new players and vet players learning the mechanics of the game and/or new hero. play to learn, play for fun, play to faceroll bots to blow off steam, etc. anyone getting bent here is just trolling or a dumbass.
casual is where you go to practice against people and do fun/stupid shit like running full mage teams with no other items than boots. whatever floats your boat. players of any skill learning/playing against other people who are learning or dgaf about winning or losing. Gets rid of " wtf, get your shit together, stop feeding, etc" unless its a troll because everyone who joins understands this mode is for practicing and trying ridiculous stuff for fun.
normal is for non-30 or 30 players to play against other players to win. some skill required or you're probably going to get shit on, but all players trying to win and be competitive. this gives non-30 and players not wanting to play ranked a place to play competitively without that guy trying out if he can jungle a mage with a full potion build. Gets rid of the response "chill, its just normals" unless its just a troll because everyone who joins knows its a competitive mode and has the expectation to play as such.
like I said, this wont defeat trolls and dumbasses. you cant change that. however, there are clearly a few different opinions on what normals are or should be. so make clearly defined modes for all types of players, new/veteran, skilled/unskilled, play for fun/play to win, etc.
lol I once had someone who called for support, got the role, picked swain with ignite and proceeded to actively last hitting all my minions (I was the adc). He started with a doran's ring, never bought any vision control (no sight stone and no vision wards when the enemy team had a rengar) and did everything he could to ks all my kills. When I asked him why he was taking my kills and cs he said he gotta pick up where I was lacking. I didn't even know what to say at that point, since he was the entire reason why I was behind in the first place.
Also I had the most wards placed that game, as the adc.

It is just normals, normals is to have as much fun as possible, if you are trying to win then just play ranked. Stop complaining and deal with the fact that it is just a game for fun in normals. Also when you get mad at all you are ruining your own experience, you must learn to stay calm and zen while playing.
Actually, that's the perfect place to have that attitude.

Dude, it's normals. Who really even cares? I'm assuming this was blind pick so just report him if he was being toxic and move on. If you want a more serious environment then you can play draft pick or teambuilder for your 'perfect meta experience.'
But seriously, don't expect people to be playing seriously in blind pick, that is the queue to chill and have fun with whatever mess of a team comp you get.
