Why Does the Domination Tree Have Sustain

The Domination tree is supposed to be about Burst damage and target access yet it has some pretty nutty sustain. I also believe in general sustain in runes has caused many issues with League because champions that were supposed to be able to be poked out of lane aren't anymore due to all the sustain you can get from runes. Does anyone else feel this way?

Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter with Fleet and Overheal: How to ignore early game weaknesses in a nutshell. Grasp more the less is being used for the magic damage harass and health stacking more than the heal. Conq gaining healing just makes DD even better than it was already. EDIT: This is an issue with sustain runes in general (and some items), not just Domination.

Why does resolve have damage?

Why does precision have healing?

Why does sorcery have so much movespeed?

The world may never know.

Because assassins need a free laning phase for some fucking reason.

Not all champs who go domination are assassins. Those runes are nice for ADCs and mages as well. Even someone like Soraka might benefit from the healing. Because of how her W works a little extra sustain for her is a good thing. No I'm not saying Soraka should go domination, but one can make a case for splashing it. With how leona's kit works I think she might want to go domination for both electrocute and the sustain.

So basically the sustain works on everyone if you want it.
