Question for lower elo

Im S2-S1 trying to get gold and I keep encountering a few things that I need advice on overcoming

How do i convince split pushers to group? How do I convince people to make a formation and peel in general?

Win lane lose game is my most common scenario: How do I prioritize when and where to carry that lead to other lanes?

How do you help a feeding bot lane? (not a salt question, for real I feel like maybe I gank bot wrong or something when they're behind. In general, I don't know how to deal with them)

Itemization when behind: how do you know when to go visage vs banshee or randuin's vs frozen H. etc?

thanks for the help everyone

You often can't (even in higher ELOs). Just make sure you have disengage/waveclear to prevent the enemy team from capitalizing long enough for the splitpusher to threaten something.

How do I convince people to make a formation and peel in general?

Aside from delivering specific instructions (i.e. "CC the Akali when she jumps on me") and hoping they do so, you can't. Generally, I would just stand behind/beside your tanks or supports; they will generally target someone nearby so you use them to do so.

Situational. Generally, I would try to recognize who else is doing well (i.e. which lanes are winning or seem competent) and help them out.

How do you help a feeding bot lane?

Still haven't figured that out considering how badly that lane can snowball. Generally, I would prioritize an ally capable of killing the enemy ADC rather than try to recover our own. Kill the enemy bottom lane when you see the chance, but don't force anything or risk a counter-gank.

Itemization when behind: how do you know when to go visage vs banshee or randuin's vs frozen H. etc?

Situational.. Depends on team compositions and in-game situation.

Generally, I recommend Silver players looking to climb grab someone with good poke, safe waveclear and some CC.

Last season, I found most Silver games would devolve into both teams grouping around a random objective and having a standoff until someone was caught out. The ability to stall pushes and poke down the enemy team before a fight starts is fantastic. If you also have the ability to (dis)engage fights, that is even better.

Last season, I used Varus (ADC) and Ziggs (Mid) to climb out of Silver since they worked well in that environment. Nowadays, I use Lux for similar reasons.

Yea honestly the sitting mid fighting over a common objective happens a lot in silver. Depending on your role there is a few things you can do. When I adc I will sit around for the mid fight a bit to see if we going to fight. If it seems we have the wave clear and no one is looking to engage I will go top or bot to cover the lanes that might be pushing in and get them pushing towards the enemy before grouping back with my team. I have found that if you get good at clearing waves, rotating, and safely pressuring the enemy you can win a lot more games in silver.

I however feel most confident playing jungle these days so I usually win by out farming and out pressuring the enemy jungler and controlling more objectives. Doesn't happen every game, but more often than not which = winning more games and ranking up. At least in silver started to struggle now playing plat - higher gold junglers as I am still learning.

I have won many games playing with silver to gold 4-5 players simply by keeping lanes pressuring them and then paying attention to the mini map. At some point if your team is pushing a lane usually the enemy will all group and try to stop them. You have to get good at judging your teammates throughout the game on how you think they will handle a situation. Usually by low silver your teammates will have some idea they should not try to fight a 4v5 and will more or less distract the enemy while they sit as a group of 4 top/mid or bot and then you can just push turrets while looking at the map until you see some of the enemy players are missing or see your team is killed. Recently I have killed bot t2 and inhib turret before the enemy thought "o wow maybe 5 of us shouldn't be sitting mid playing patty cake with the enemy team" and came to stop me. But when they left mid my team then engaged and started fighting a fight they could win so we got pressure on mid as well.

Work on judging how strong you are on what sort of team comp you have. Like I play a lot of MissFortune adc and know her ult is everything later in the game. If I get a good ult on the enemy team while they distracted or locked in cc I will melt them and my team will win the game easy. If I always have pressure on me and can't ult or I use an ult at the wrong time then most likely the team fight will not go in our favor unless we are really far ahead.

Or like last night when I was playing on my alt account I was super fed as Graves. My team had baron and was pushing mid. While they did that I caught the bot wave and pushed it. The enemy knew I was fed so they sent 3 players after me. I killed two but got outplayed and died to the enemy adc. But still I took 2 for 1 and distracted 3 of them while my team pushed both mid and top with baron buff. We destroyed their base and won shortly after. My alt account gold 5 with low mmr so I play with gold 5- silver 3 players all the time. What I notice is the things EndlessSorcerer mentions. Once you get more comfortable with the concepts Endless listed climbing through silver is fairly easy. I am shit at the game but have climbed through silver 3 times this season just by increasing my basic game knowledge and gaining some confidence in my play and a small increase in my mechanics. But more just in learning better champion builds and learning and thinking more about the game at hand.
