Like the title says I found a hard counter to Gnar. It's Garen his kit completely shuts down Gnar in the early game before he can become useful, you can also get loads of free farm by harassing him to the tower.

He might best him in lane but I feel like late game GNAR! will outclass Garen even if Gnar is behind, even getting two or three people stunned with it would spell a turn around that Garen's late game weakness just couldn't compete with.

Hyrum Graff1 votesSeems like it could work. If you reach him when he's in mini form, he's gonna have a bad day, and you should be able to outrun mega with Q. I also did pretty well against gnar as Orianna; start/max and he can't trade with you, even with his passive, in mini form. Then just kite mega all day long. It just requires good awareness of his rage bar, because if he does jump on you as mega, it's going to hurt.

. 's hyper passive just shreds even with him tanky. The % health dps is just ridiculous. also has a big range advantage to help him kite while saving hops for any tome that he gets close. Even without playing well, can still farm with ranged aa's and q.
