Why mobility creep is unfixable without major changes
1. The problem
The vocal majority of players that browse the boards cough forums cough hate where this game has gone with mobility. It's destroying melee players that aren't: Lee Sin
, Yasuo
, Rek'Sai
, or Zed
. They're the only ones who can reasonably fight ranged champions without losing all their health just to get to them. It's a serious issue and unfortunately without completely reworking these champions to have either: less mobility, or less damage they will continue to rule their respective lanes. Now they're fun champions to play no one can argue against that but the problem comes from them not being fun to play against ( I call it the Shaco
effect). There's a certain way we could fix this by taking from DotA 2 but no one wants to have turn rates or blink daggers (especially blink daggers, could you imagine Zed {{Champion:238}} with a blink dagger?) The only other option would be to just make them have below average damage to make up for how high their mobility is.
2. The solution
we could always rework these champions to have less mobility and great damage or have less damage and great mobility but then it would become a wet noodle fight and their mobility would still exist. The only way to fix these guys would be to nerf their mobility.

Lee Sin
probably the worst of the group he has the most overloaded kit in the game AND two gap closers. How do we fix this?
Remove ward hops that is all we have to do, we just need to remove ward hopping or punish him for using it (e.g. Increases CD of Safeguard/Iron Will or when cast on a ward you will be unable to cast Iron Will) this requires him to make decisions based on the situation now I am just going over the mobility of each champion and not the whole problem with every champion. -
Yasuo
he's the poster child of why champions should be resourceless and have very very spammable CDs to manage. He can jump in a fight deal Tons Of Damage and jump out before anyone can take him down thanks to his gap closer on a 0.1 second CD as long as some minions or champions are here and lets not forget his 4 second CD on his Q at level 1 with 0.78 AS. He's insane and it's a huge problem. How do we fix it? Give him mana seriously I don't mind his mobility or spammable CDs as long as he has mana because now he has a reason to be able to do what he does in fact we might even have to buff him if we give him mana. -
Rek'sai
she's really not a big deal in terms of heavy mobility she has no slows or stuns all she has is a knockup every ten seconds which is reasonable and her tunnels have a 12 second CD at max rank but she's still a problem to deal with in terms of how much mobility she can have if you keep her tunnels alive because WHO WANTS TO ACTIVELY COUNTER JUNGLE A 1v1 GOD I am serious who wants that? she has so many escapes if she has 30 seconds to prepare before a teamfight that if you kill her she must've done something terribly wrong. the fix? her tunnels last only 5 minutes and give 16 gold when they die not 5 this way she has to choose place tunnels in bad spots or position them in a place thats smart. -
and last but not least Zed
He's a pain to deal with he has: free poke in lane, two escapes and two gapclosers, an Attack Damage booster, damage steroid on his R he has all the things an assassin could want. how do we fix this? GIVE HIM MANA just like yasuo the only way to fix this guy is for him to join people like Orianna or Azir give him mana so his late game is justified.
